Here are a few pics from the latest wheeling trip (about 3 weeks ago).

I haven't taken any pics since then because not much has visibly changed.

My seat was installed too tall and I kept hitting my head on the doorframe. I have since fixed it.

I have extremely offset wheels. I'm running 1.5" wheel spacers in front (to match the rear axle width), no spacers in the rear. You'll die without hydro assist or six-shooters with my width. My scrub radius is about as terrible as it gets, but with the hydro assist I don't really feel it.

I like my width, but if I were to do it again, I'd go with 17x8's instead of 17x9s, and I'd go with a tad less backspacing (I currently have 2.5" BS). This thing never feels tippy though with such a wide and low stance.

Your first gen is a monster I love it. And it looks clean for it's age.

Thanks, I appreciate it. It isn't super clean, but it is super solid. I built it to last. Too many toyotas are just pieced together and beat on. I wanted to build one right.

It's on 135 N University Ave in downtown provo.

Family friendly. No smoking, no alcohol. But it is loud, so bring earmuffs for your baby. $7 or so to get in. Bring 5 people and I"ll get you a free t-shirt. There are 3 bands playing tonight. We're first. Doors open at 8:30. we'll play for about 45 min.

IMO, you're doing a disservice to your baby and other patrons if you take a baby to a concert. You'll feel like a Dbag when you find out the kid has bad hearing at 2y/o...

Cool sound.. Your screen name just made sense.

I'll give a free CD to anyone who comes tonight.

Thanks Beardy.

My drummer brings his kids, but they all wear the hearing protection you wear for shotgun shooting (those big ear cans). It's not very loud at that point.

Thanks goose, I appreciate your compliments.

I went wheeling with you once about 4 years ago at snakes. I think I had a red sami on 33s at the time, but it could have been a green tracker, or a black sami, or an orange runner, I can't remember. I remember your rig, I could never forget it.

I'd love to hook up and see your rig in person again. We're going out a week from Saturday. Either lil moab or snakes, you're welcome to tag along. I'll have my sliders on by then, so I'll try Wayne's World for the first time in my life.

You guys sound great. I'd bet my daughter has been to a few of your gigs. She went out with the bass player from Just for the Record for a while.

Nice looking Toy btw.

Did you ever play with, or hear of a band in the Provo area called A Film In The Ballroom? I would assume you may have, just because of the 2 female singers. Probably around 2007-2008ish? My good friend was the drummer for that band..

I wouldn't mind a CD or two of your band.

I miss my band days.. But on a much happier note, I found my old drumset in Bryson's basement! I sold it to Vonski, and he sold it to Bryson back in the day. Still has the giant band logo on the kick drum. Now to go pick it up. :)

Thanks Bart. We really struggle to draw a huge fan base because either 1) we suck, or 2) we didn't grow up here, so we don't have a ton of high-school friends to drag out to shows. We've had a tough time growing our fan base. But we do have a very solid and tight sound, and we love playing shows.

We've never played with A film in the Ballroom, but I do know of them. Back in '07 the music scene was A LOT better than now.

I'd be happy to give you a CD. We're on itunes, amazon, and we have a hardcopy cd. As you know, recording is SUPER EXPENSIVE, so we did it on a budget unfortunately. We've got an entire CD's worth of material that we're saving up to record. We should jam sometime.

I'd think that my old band's tunes would fit nicely in a show with your sound.. 3Link music

That sucks that the music scene has gone a bit downhill in that area. I remember that there were always decent concerts worth driving for. Then again, I was a bit more plugged into the music scene the farther back you go in my history.

To keep this on a somewhat 4x4 topic, I would head to all of our shows with my drums packed into my samurai - which you may appreciate since it sounds like you've had a few. It was like a tetris episode the first few times, but after a few gigs everything had it's perfect place.
