I have covered all my work benches except my welding table with that carpet. I love it. I also did my first 4runner inside with it. Its mildew and UV resistant. good call

that is a cool idea chocflip! Thanks for that link. I can't believe someone would cut the top off their cherokee without building a frame or cage with it. I've got buddy who builds and restores old camper VW busses. Maybe he'll have some ideas for me.

The sleeping platform worked really well in Moab. not enough room to sit up in, but I slept like a baby all 3 nights. Those therma rest dreamtime pads are the bomb!

I do, but it'll be a week or so before I get the pics uploaded. My brother has some of the pics, I have some others, and Eric has the rest. I'll do a trip report too, it was the best vacation ever.

the only issue I had with the camper shell is the condensation. The heat from two bodies in there causes a lot of condensation, so it ends up dripping from the ceiling (even with the screen windows open). Anyone have any ideas for a solution? I thought of hanging cloth in there, or building some vents or something.

The make low draw electric fans, I've seen them used in camp trailers and in vehicles to help with condensation. Plus side is it could also work for sucking out the heat on a hot evening too?

You could mount your RTT on top of the cab or shell. You could also build some 1 foot spacers that lift up your shell. They would be hard to make look cool, but you could put some not so deep drawers in them like a mini utility bed.

I'm liking the pop-top camper shell idea. that would be so cool. I hate working with fiberglass, but it just might be worth it in this case.
