Crap happens. Sometimes things go good sometimes bad. My wife isn't aloud to buy me jeep stuff unless she's has an exact pic and part number of the item. Sometimes people just aren't good at customer skills or sometimes thecross a crap day and unfortunately the customer can be affected. As for Teraflex has some stellar stuff and some not so stellar stuff but that's most things in life. Anywho that's my sense on life as a consumer.

UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
Revolver shackles were never cool. Not even in 2005. :D

How does it go: "Teraflex can please all people some of the time, some people all of the time, but never all people all of the time." or something like that.

Why is there no receipt? If your wife bought them at TeraFlex+, I know for a fact that there is a computer record of the transaction...

However, there will be no return visit (I have already thrown away the z boxes, felt good!).

Based on the fact that you never have explained why there is no receipt and no record in their system of your purchase (otherwise I highly doubt you'd be having this problem) I'm willing to bet there's a whole lot more to the story. Then you come to the internet to *****...lame! :)

...FWIW, I'm not a fan of Tera+, last time I bought something there (Corbeau Seat bracket) I was raped on the price...more than double list price. After realizing this, I returned it. So I'm by no means a Tera fan in the least bit, but I can also see when something doesn't add up.

My wife may have purchased them from Amazon.com, she wasn't sure, she had purchased them in October, and I told them this in my original phone conversation before I made the trip to their shop, and was assured that even without a receipt they would give store credit. (In all fairness that IS what they offered me) My frustration is a "straw that broke the camel's back" type situation: three different negative experiences spread over a long time. Even without a receipt, they are the ones who manufacture the product, it is brand new never installed, with all the original hardware and what I assume is the box they were shipped in, it's not like I fabbed some brackets in my garage and was trying to get cash back. It's a couple hundred bucks, already not worth the effort I have put in to resolving this, (because $200 in store credit would barely bring them to a competitive price range for most parts I would want) and the guy basically just threw a low ball store credit number at me to get me out of his hair...so that is why they are currently in the trash can in front of my house. Free before garbage day to anyone who is willing to deal with the headache...

Seriously. I will pull them from the can and list them in the "Free" section right now...just to see if anyone wants them before I complete my tantrum.

So back to Amazon we go!!

That's the true beauty of just being a customer...I don't HAVE to go back there every day, or ever again for that matter. Amazon and eBay prices can't be beat...even if you waste a couple hundred bucks on the wrong part...you will still come out way ahead in the long run. Lesson learned. Maybe I will call Amazon customer service tomorrow to see if they have record of the transaction...I can pay to ship them back to amazon who can then ship them back to the manufacturer to get their money back...and then I can order useful parts at cheaper prices from Amazon or eBay! I think I'm gonna puke...

I know...seems dumb right. But I get to the point of not wanting to deal with it and the price quote I got from Teraflex plus previously for a ring and pinion with install kit was $330 which is about $80 more than another price quote I got from another dealer on this forum, so rather than go through with the transaction at teraflex plus and give them my business, I will just bite the bullet and come out of it financially equal but feeling better inside for helping a smaller, more customer-friendly business. Plus I am going to contact Amazon tomorrow (since that is my last avenue for a refund) to see if they can find and refund the transaction...then I can pay to ship them back to Amazon, and then Amazon can pay to ship them back here to Salt Lake to get THEIR money back I guess...if that doesn't pan out I would rather throw or give them away than make another trip to frustration and back.

yea I know I'm the new guy. Just moved to the state and was looking forward to some good Utah jeepn. The noob run sounded like fun( for no reason more then to meet people and find trails). So after seeing that thread I poked in to this just to see what was what.

Man it was a surprise to see the troll action in this thread. If I wanted to see a bunch Of trolls jump a guy and poke him to pieces I can just log in to pirate. I hope the folks are a bit more friendly in person when I manage to meet some.

I signed up for the noob run also, I will still be there for Saturday (have to work friday night) so anyone who would like to come poke me to pieces in person is welcome to! I really am a nice, respectable guy in "real life" and so is everyone I have met in person from this forum...don't let this thread turn you away from a great group of people. We are like family, we tell each other exactly what we think...

EDIT: actually I won't be at this noob run at all. I will be out for trail cleanups and other events...

Seems to me you should have gone to amazon first since that is where you bought them. If I buy a bad Tv from walmart I take it back there not vizio.
