When you say its paved almost all the way, how much is gravel? Is it driveable in a car, or are there big ruts and potholes?

Wow, that's my favorite t6 I've ever seen!

I love the mini too. I had a '76 LHD canadian mini. It scared me to death to drive it, but it was such a cool little car.

Really? Thank you, that's very kind. Its unrestored, so it has its blemishes, but she's a blast to drive! Still had the original redlines on her when I bought her, I've since replaced with modern tires, but I'd love more redlines.

Not sure of the year on that mini, I don't remember, but it is a "clubman" and RHD if I recall.

I'd totally be up for a fun cruise BTW! The run up over trappers loop and down into Ogden is a fun road, as is the Nebo loop.

JeepinJoe pointed this one out to me... if my 2000 VW TDI Jetta ever gets retired, I'm buying a Smyth Performance kit car for $9000! 2,200 pounds, mid-engine, rear wheel drive... with a 1.9l turbo diesel engine that has damn near unlimited tuning potential. 300+ ft/lbs from a little turbo diesel and still getting 45-50 MPG? Hell yeah!! :freak:

The owner of Smyth Performance is a co-founder of Factory Five Racing, so you know his kit is done right.

That's freaking awesome. I wonder how it handles. I've never driven a mid-engine that didn't handle extremely well. I think the more you look at that picture, the more tired your car gets.

Rays valley road to diamond fork has several miles of gravel that can be driven in a car but does have a tendency to get wash boarded. I have driven it at good speeds in one of my mazda 3s in the past and when I drove part of it last week the center was pretty good.

Thanks Scott.

We ended up driving the Diamond Fork/Hobble Creek Loop. About 10 miles of it was gravel, but it was very well maintained. There were some washboards, but it wasn't bad.

Both the TDI and the Scion are WAY faster than my car.

Here's the beginning of the gravel section:

After that loop, we took the old highway back to provo, then ran the Alpine Loop from Provo to Alpine. It was a really nice drive. We are incredibly lucky to have such amazing sights so close to home.

has anyone been watching this series? I really like Tanner Faust; he keeps his cool in tense situations, and he seems like a really down-to-earth guy. Yes, he's on the world's worst car show, but the boy can drive! He did most of the driving stunts for the Fast N Furious movies.
