Here's our video from our road trip to Yellowstone last weekend:

We got to test a lot of our backpacking gear. There's not a lot of room for gear for 2 people for 4 days in the trunk of a miata. I re-learned that National Parks aren't really my thing. It was our first time to Yellowstone and I was really surprised at how commercialized it was. I wasn't expecting to see gas stations, markets, restaurants, hotels, etc in a National Park. The amount of RVs was insane. Traffic was crazy, and I think all the drivers there learned to drive in Provo. It was nice to have experienced it, but we don't plan on going back. It felt like disneyland without the fun rides. We did get to see some really cool animals up close though, that was awesome.
Grand Teton NP, on the other hand, was a much better experience. It was still plenty busy, but there was more hiking, more natural scenery, and more wildlife as well. Next time I'm in the area, I'll spend more time at Grand Teton NP, and skip Yellowstone.
Black_ZJ, it was nice to finally meet you and your wife.
