I like it!

Still wish you could get it lower, buuuuttt... you can't fit Rockwell chunks, links, and motor in the same spot. :D

Looks great so far!

Really cool! I wish I had your skills.

LT.

Skills....HA. Its easy when you have all the fancy tools I have. You know...a grinder and a welder :p

Nothing about the Scout has ever been fancy, cool or trick. Its just functional and Im fine with that.

54's wow! I love them! I bet those make your 47's look small?
I like your frame Idea, it looks like you gained alot of needed space.
Id like to do something along those lines so that I can build my front suspension the way I want it.

LOVING the new stance and the way those 54's look. Eric Westover was at my place last night and told me you were doing some major work to your scout so I had to hop on here and check it out.

What are some of the things you don't like about your front suspension now? From the videos it looks like it works extremely well.

So with the frame lower and bigger tires your getting the best of both worlds. Question though with the 54's, how far from the ground is your lowest point on you axle?

To give an idea, I have 15" of clearance under stock rocks and 46" tires.

Cheston should be around 19", plus the shave, all depending on tire psi.

my 3link works great! If I get creative with the frame up front, I think I could fit 2 triangulated uppers. (stronger & no panhard)

Due to Fords awesome frame design.....the headers on the drivers side stick out past the frame about 4.5 inches. I am going to have to cut that out of the headers so the tires will clear them

Now for the big debate.....

Windshield
scout006-1.jpg

Or no windshield????

scout007.jpg

The one trip we went on without the windshield last fall, my wife hated it. She said a windshield has to go back on. I was going to make this Scout 80 windshield fold down for the trail but be able to put it up for the wife.

Right now I dont want it on there. Im thinking if she really wants something, I will cut lexan panels to fit in between the cage. It would save me a lot of hassle and if I roll again...the windshield will be garbage again.

What do you guys think?
