Here is one of Harrison's favorite little slots to go up and down. It gets really narrow in a couple of spots. The Rekluse really helps in this area.

Went and rode up to af canyon from the backside by deer creek dam. All the dirt roads and double track were good and dry. I rode trail 38 until I hit snow in both directions. I give it 3 weeks until it is gone. I had to do a bunch of log jumps which was fun and I think the 300 is great for it. But after riding about 5 miles of single track I don't know if the 300 is great for it. I would like to pick up another 250 for mountain single track. I absolutely love the 300 for fast paced technical desert races though.

Then I just need to get used to it. It's my first time riding single track in the mountains on a 2 stroke. It was obviously way different than on my 250. But so was the 300 when I raced it the first time. Just need more seat time then. My 300 rolled over 20+ hours today.

I'm not getting a new bike anytime soon. Unless it is a second bike. I'll be racing my 300 the remainder of this season and all next season. I don't need a rekluse. I don't have problems stalling or clutching through technical sections. Sure, it'd be nice to have one but I don't feel its a necessity for me.

My buddy Rex who has a new 300 and usually buys a rekluse with every bike and installs it before he has a chance to ride the bike without it, rode his new 300 without and says he dont need it. but he already had one he preordered before he got the bike home. says its sweet stock.

We set off to the dunes yesterday afternoon and got there, unloaded and went for a ride. Harrison on his paddled up 150RB, me in a Razor and everyone else on paddled up bikes. There was a KTM350XCW, two WR450s and two CRF150RBs. The ride started good except that I was not able to ride because of another busted rib so I was stuck in the Razor. Harrsion's Rekluse was locking up too soon and he was struggling with it so we headed back to adjust that and to drop some bigger jets in it so he would be ready for the ride in the morning. I had just finished with the Rekluse's adjustment and had the carb off with Mark came rolling in which seemed odd. When we left them we were on the backside of the Sand Mountain. He apparently came over a dune way too fast and lawn darted it or should I say Dune Darted in off the backside of it. Harrison and I had to help him off his bike and out of his riding gear and then into his trailer. He was hot, sweaty and really shakey. We got him laying down, put some Loritab in him and got some ice on his knee. We started packing up so we could get him back and into the doctor but on the way home he started feeling better but I think that was the Loritab working.

We had to help him into his house because he couldnt move again. This morning he is feeling better but his back hurts where his neck brace comes down his back. He thinks he hyperextended his knee when he kissed the front fender. He is at the doctor this morning gettting checked out. We hope he will be back on the saddle again. It was a beautiful day at the dunes, we had it to ourselves basically. There was a big toy hauler that pulled up with 3 old ladies from Colorado with a 4 seater Razor.

We rode Jericho/ Cherry Creek on Saturday.Yesterday, we rode about 10-15 miles before lunch and 51 after lunch. What a day!
Broke my clutch cable a few miles into the after lunch ride.
We rode all of the first lap of the Sugar Loafers race.
In the morning we free rode kinda roughly following a loop from a few races ago.
Chased cows and ran through rivers.
We did the first loop of the last race after lunch and followed the banners exactly.
Kelton crashed into me from behind in 4th gear. He got wadded up. Broke his rear brake lever off... I slowed down to a turn on a high speed road. He didn't and crashed into my back tire and wadded up bad. He broke a fork bleeder, rear brake pedal, bent a radiator and bars not good.
My bike got a cracked exhaust and my knees went into the bars but I didn't fall off.

He was able to finish the ride but he was hurting. Had he been wearing more pads he would have fared better, but he only had shin guards, boots, helmet, gloves

We had an awesome ride yesterday, did about 32 miles. Went up 40 to 157 to the summit, then down 252 to 41. The trails were in great shape. Ran into Derek just as we were leaving-good to see you, I hope you made it back ok!

Yeah I made it back ok. I put on about 50 miles of single track. There was still lots of snow covering 157 above forest lake so I didn't attempt it. Trail 38 also had atleast 6' of snow thru the first big saddle. I could see where other bikes had tried it and failed forcing them down the valley clear over to cascade springs area. Trail 181 has a tree down right in a turn. It has lots of branches still and I hit it straight on with my number plate. I didn't get hurt but I sure didn't enjoy it.
