Main gate is reported open but what about side routes? Any updates?

singletrack is still closed. Silver Lake Flatts area is still closed. Alpine loop (paved) is still closed. State is hoping to open it on Memorial day.

There are a few main dirt roads that are open, but atv and motorcycle trails are still closed.



The good news is that the trails are starting to dry out. Remember: just because a trail is "open" doesn't mean you should travel it if it's not dried out and ready.

Anyone want to ride somewhere in utah county this evening. Not many single track trails open but I like riding from hope to hobble until we hit snow. I go every 3 days or so and I can usually go another 2 miles everytime. Last time was 16 miles total.

No, I couldn't find anyone to ride with. I'm going to hold out 'till Saturday. I've got a few things I need to get done on my truck tonight.

I rode up the tibble fork about 2 miles past the mineral basin turn before I hit snow yesterday.

Is anyone riding Hobble Creek Saturday? I would be up for a morning ride.

I will check with the wife. I would rather do morning also. Ill see what the family schedule looks like.

I am thinking about bringing my youngest(12) to let him have a shot at that first section. He says he can make the climb. If he can then I think we will ride some in the morning. He's not fast but he is persistent.
