That Packard is FANTASTIC!!!! Very interesting.

I have the JK pretty much ready for EJS. Added a Teraflex rear bumper/tire carrier. (Spent 1/2 the day building a third brake light pedestal.... ). Worked out my storage for my new ARB chairs (they really are nice chairs) and left a space for the rental ARB fridge (that'll be cool to test drive) from CruiserOutfitters. With the new rear bumper, I'll need to rig up some kind of mudflap to keep the fuzz at bay. (can probably recycle the ones off my "Jeep" but they're pretty ugly). Could use some rock slider enhancements and a "bull bar" over the winch but we'll see if that can happen.

Just a few other things on the "Jeep" to go new rear leafs (have the wrong bushings....who'd of thought getting XJ leaf bushings was so hard?), possibly hook up my heater (?---why now...I've lived without it for this long) and a general going through after Feb. trip. Remounted the CB after installing an actual car stereo, tidied up the interior wiring harness a bit (that things a disaster) and mounted some WalMart rear speakers.

Well my Girlfriend went out and bought me the car of my dreams... I had originally purchases a 2002 trans am WS6 when i was 22, then 2 weeks later deployed to Iraq, i reenlisted and my ex-wife reenlisted and we spent all of that plus some of the deployment money to twin turbo, and fully upgrade the trans and rear end. well needless to say it wasnt long til the ex-wife made a lot of really dumb decisions leading to me having to sell my pride and joy.... 7 years ive spent looking for a car exactly like my old "Sadie" and last sunday i found one.. the next day my Girlfriend told me she was going to buy it and this weekend she was delivered to the house and the only problem she had was the right turn blinker didnt work... so today i found it was a broken bulb and now shes perfect!!! in perfect condition considering she's 13 years old..

Is that todds?

Nope, my other buddy Mike has a '99 as well. It's actually almost the exact same but we built bumpers and boatsides for it too. Todd wants me to build him one but I'd hate to work on a cage for someone that doesn't even live here. I'd have to just decide on stuff for him and hope he likes it... Not for me

Found this pile of awesomeness in my diff this morning

debris.jpg

This is what I can't figure out. I'm pretty sure it's not a component of a detroit. As far as I can tell, it's a roller from a bearing, but none of my bearings are missing one. It must have been left over from the gear install done years ago, but I swear I remember cleaning the housing out really well

And here's the damage. destroyed driven-clutch assembly and spider assembly. Hoping I don't have to buy a full new detroit to replace these parts!
