Worked on Pickles the little XJ tonight. I finally installed the core4x4 tracbar I’ve had since a few days after I got the Jeep. It’s stout and tightened up the steering nicely. I did however have to cut off about 1/2” of the threaded portion to be able to get it adjusted properly. So that was lame but meh not a big deal for me.
The old one is not factory (probably rough country) as it has a removable TRE and what looks like a little beefier clevite bushing. Buuuuut the TRE is about as limp as it gets so I’m still happy to get it off there.
Look closely and you can see extended bumpstops in the coils. They’re some Amazon cheapies so we’ll see how they hold up. Also, extended ss brake lines. Neat and stuff. On a positive note I taught my boys how to bleed brakes.
