Sort of a waste pile in a placer deposit sort of situation. Three of them, I don't think were waste just based on where I found them, the ground looked native. It's hard to be sure though, a lot of dirt has been moved around out there in the last 100 years. The other three were right on the edges of old timer dry wash piles. Never was enough water out there to make a wet wash plant pay. But small timers were able to make wages dry washing during the depression. They left thousands of their fine tailings piles. They missed some.
