The liquid was water (from combustion), it was black from all the carbon soot and cat dust. New universal cats are cheap on ebay, get your welder ready. :)

What are you going to weld it with? You can usually find small quantities of Ni-85/99 on ebay, but personally I wouldn't bother, I'd just use 7018 stick.

Are you saying that panel puts out 2-4amps? The size of that solar panel puts it around 1 watt. or about .080 amps at 13v output.

Compared to a V8 like say a GM 5.3L - 6.0L (LS family, etc) they're much heavier, ruins your vehicles weight distribution makes much less power and torque doesn't rev has a narrow powerband requires lots of gears much worse drivability much much more expensive parts are harder to get turns...
