I've worked at STS for the last 3 years and I had/have a custom built rear mount setup on my Camaro. I haven't installed a F150 kit. but I did drive a customers F150 back from the thanksgiving point carshow. Needless to say it had some pretty good passing power running 8psi boost.

    adjustable proportioning valve

I'm running one on my Camaro since I deleted the ABS. Got it from summit racing for $35. You run the front brakes direct to the master cylinder. The rear brakes go through the valve then into the master cylinder. You adjust the valve to decrease pressure to the rear, until the rear stops...

The air filter is mounted in the bedside, so don't drive through a 3ft deep river unless you relocate it higher up.

    Project Fiberglass fenders

This should turn out pretty cool. Make sure you coat all the foam with bondo. I tried making a fiberglass minibike gas tank from sculpted great stuff foam and skipped the bondo; the fiberglass curing heat ended up warped the foam very badly.

    Winch motor short?

First of all Optimas are not blessed by the hand of god, frankly they suck. Using a multimeter, test the current draw with the jeep off. Deeply discharging any battery will ruin it after a while. Also test your voltage regulation. If you don't want to remove it and take it to autozone to test...

    Compressed air lines in shop

Personally, I would Only do copper, especially inside a finished wall. Soldered joints will never leak. Brass fittings can also be soldered to copper. Solder a brass 1/4" NPT bung into a copper Tee, and screw in a quick coupler, done. Don't forget to incorperate a ball valve in a low spot for...

    Simple home-remedy press brake

It started to round on the 3/8" plate. the 1/4" was ok though. If I bend that 1/4" diamond plate with the diamonds facing up it focuses too much pressure on them and dents the blade a bit. Ideally you would want to use hardened steel plate, like made for the wear edge of a skidsteer bucket.

    Simple home-remedy press brake

Good to see someone else has made their own press brake! Here's the brake I made 3 or 4 years ago when I was making Dana 44 diff covers. The top knife is 3/4", bottom channel is just two 1" plates bolted together. All the beveling was simply done with an angle grinder. Bends 6" wide 1/4"...

1989 YJ not engaging the front axle

I forgot what all I did but mine is not engaged all the time. The 4x4 dash light is backwards but it never disengages randomly anymore. I think I just flipped the housing, rotated the diaphragm 180degrees so the vac ports are still aiming up, and flipped the shift fork on its shaft.
