    Gun show????

I just left. Lines are gone, but it is pretty packed. Plan on waiting a while if you want any ammo. Prices on that are maybe 30% more than a few months ago. I bagged that, but the people watching was good. I got a decent deal on a bunch of ammo cans.

    Gun show????

Has anyone seen discount coupons for this show? The ones you can print off their site all say they are for 2012. http://rockymountaingunshow.com/coupon/

What overall gear ratio do you like to run?

I'm at about 100:1. That works well with a diesel, even at 9500 lbs. idles up and down most things.

    Gun show????

For a 22 semi auto, you can't get much more reliable than a Ruger mark II or mark III.

    Gun show????

I'll probably go and pick up some ammo if prices are reasonable. Don't see myself buying any guns unless there is a really good deal. Anyone know how this will compare with Crossroads of the West shows?

    Which .223 to buy?

If it is for hunting deer or larger game, I would definitely get a bolt gun and something bigger than 223.

    The Big Rig Crawler Hauler

Yea. I think we get the suspension complication. I think we are both referring to the driveline part. After the suspension issue is resolved, if you drop the rear, you need to lock the inter axle diff. If you drop the middle, you need at least the driveline rebuilt. I haven't ever heard of...

    The Big Rig Crawler Hauler

Yup. You either need to drop the middle axle or lock the power divider and drop the rear.

    The Big Rig Crawler Hauler

I dropped an axle on mine and never regretted it - I'm just a big fan of simple. I actually have most all the components from dropping my axle that I would be willing to sell. They would be a single freightliner air-ride suspension, assuming you could bolt your axle to it. I also have a spare...

Sweet! Anxious to see the build! Let me know if you run into any heavy truck questions. I'm no expert, but I have been down that road.

    Pop-Up/ Tent Trailers

I worked for an RV dealership for several years back in the 80's/90's. I can say follow mbryson's advice and make sure to set it up completely. Tent trailers are nice and compact, but they are really prone to wearing out and breaking where they lift and the tent part connects. Have they have...

my new ultralight winter sleep system

I love it! Not lame at all! I'm interested to hear how it works for you. I have a nice, light 50 degree bag, but I need something like this for higher elevations.

    Backcountry Trailer

Pitch right on top of the snow. It's best if you don't have a tent you need to stake too much and just tie it down to trees, etc. The snow is actually pretty comfortable and a pretty good insulator as long as you aren't laying directly on it.

Egg Carton Foam, Where to Get?

I'm not sure where they are now, but I bought some about 10 years ago from "Future Foam" in SLC. They allowed me to select the foam I wanted and had a machine that cut it into egg-crate form.

ho-lee jesus 18 kids murdered in elementary school massacre

^^ This. My boys (and my little girl when the time comes) know how to handle every kind of gun. They decide under appropriate supervision when to move to the next level. We talk about what we see at the range and on TV/movies, how most movies do not portray guns being used in a safe way. I...

    Backcountry Trailer

I've done a fair amount of snow camping in a tent. It's no problem at all as long as it is cold enough and you have a decent pad underneath your sleeping bag. The only time it gets nasty /messy is if it is warm enough to rain.
