Ford Build: Full hydro is for quitters

Plenty of coloring outside the lines. 🤘 Following.

General Tech Power Steering...the Hard Way

You’re doing what I thought you were, but that reply will certainly answer any questions that other’s may have. It’ll never happen, but I’d love to hear you have to explain this to a Highway Patrolman accusing you of running full hydro. It kind of is, but with road feel and a mechanical...

General Tech Power Steering...the Hard Way

Assuming that valve is a load-sensitive type, if the pump fails, you should retain at least some assist from the hyd. system. Of course in the event of a blown line/pressure loss, you still have manual steering, yes? I guess this is good time to ask if the steering box will also have fluid...

South-East Utah St George / Sand Hollow before Christmas?

Good to know, thx! I missed the “before” Christmas part. 😂

South-East Utah St George / Sand Hollow before Christmas?

So, what is the range of dates people are thinking? It sounds like folks may be down there from the 25th-28th. 🤷‍♂️ I’m simply looking for seat time, not real concerned about difficulty.

My RME non-build thread CanAm / Win free stuff!

Well Gents, I was hoping for an RME member win, but just didn’t happen. 🤷‍♂️ Anyway, a guy from Payson nailed it with 2156 pounds. That’s 501 additional pounds, which is considerable for a utv, but necessary for the work that was needed. Well, what I feel it needed. 😂

Alright, shut the giveaway down and will look through all the numbers and announce @ 5:00pm.

    Listen kid, just because I look 69 doesn’t mean I feel a day over 67-ish. 😳

No prob. Btw, I’m very critical of many Tusk products, but their wheels are well engineered and built along side STI and several other brands. Good luck on winning, but they’re worth the $ if you have to buy a set. I can get you good pricing if it came to that.

My RME non-build thread CanAm / Win free stuff!

There are indeed some heavy stock parts, such as the OEM muffler/cat. However, they engineer these chassis to be just barely stout enough to not fold up under normal use, so I did plenty of internal sleeving in places not cut away entirely. At the same time I did my best to not make a tank out...

Ok, posts up on IG and FB. I’ll collect any here as well, since there could be a few. Good luck!

I had to play catch-up on some updates, but I’ll have the giveaway junk posted later in the AM and give ya’ll a heads up.

No prob, and I’ll just take note of your guess. If you won and couldn’t use the wheels, they’re an easy sell.

My RME non-build thread CanAm / Win free stuff!

IMPORTANT INFO.... You can post guesses here if ya want, but you’ll have to re-post that guess over on FB or Instagram where I’ll be tracking them. Keep in mind that the starting weight was 1655. I’ve used 20lbs.of mig wire alone, plus a bunch of DOM, very heavy rear steer components, just to...

My RME non-build thread CanAm / Win free stuff!

As some of you might have seen, I’ve been working on a utv build and posting updates on FB and Instagram. Since many 4x4 owners also have utvs (whether you’ll admit it or not 😂), here’s your chance to get in on the beadlock wheel giveaway for guessing the final weight of the rig. None of...

    "Forced induction" for the V10 3V ???

Consider a high volume/low boost turbo setup. Enough to wake it up but keep reliability intact. Intercooler a plus, but hold off and add later if really needed/wanted. If my 8.1 dually didn’t have high miles, this is the route I’d be going. 🤷‍♂️

On a related note... when researching the Swepco 715 fluid, a common complaint is that the viscosity makes it prone to leak past AN fittings/threads, so some are using Teflon tape. None of mine leak, but thought it was good info to remember. 🤷‍♂️
