    Dana 80 ????

If they can be re-splined, I'm sure Mike @ Summit can do it (that is, if they can be re-splined). Shorter length Dana 80 37 spline shafts exist. Call Randy's R&P for more info...

    Dana 80 ????

Definitely follow this thread for more info... However, no "Dana 80 bible" exists that I know of at this point, so I'd recommend checking and re-checking measurements and info. Things seemed to go pretty well with the front and rear Dana 80's that we have here, but although it was all done...

    Dana 80 ????

No, its different. However, its close enough that the shaft flange can be re-drilled.

Best MT tire for a Dual purpose rig

I know, I know... but Pro Comp finally got one right. If you like, or have heard anyone say good things about the Maxxis Big Horn, this is simply a better tire by comparison.

    Dana 80 ????

Yeah, check those shafts! Any info and recommendations depend on whether or not you've got the 35 or 37 spline axles. I'm still learning about these as well, but Matt definitely has a good grasp of what needs to happen and why...

Best MT tire for a Dual purpose rig

I agree, the KM2's are a great tire, no doubt. However, don't overlook this one by Pro Comp. Yes, Pro Comp (who knew?). I'm not a big fan of their other tires, but the "Xtreme M/T" is a good tire...

    Little Sahara flag requirements?

The BLM also has a sweet sand car, and they can chase people down. :eek2:

    Dana 80 ????

Sorry man, my bad. There is no need to bore a hub in this situation. Read the above post for more info regarding spindle and hub options.

    Dana 80 ????

Sorry, let me go back and correct that... The only Dana 80 axles that came with 37 spline shafts are the ones that have the big 10-lug pattern. All of the others are refered to as "hybrid 80's" and have 35 spline shafts. They also have Dana 70 outers (hub & spindle). As far as the...

    Little Sahara flag requirements?

Yup, anything motorized has to have a flag. The good news is that you can get a flag for your bike that says "sand princess", like Me! :greg:

    Dana 80 ????

Here are a couple pics of the rear. NOTE: The flange on your full-float shafts will also need to be drilled. FWIW, here is also a pic of the front. Keep in mind that it is sitting on the air bumps (full compression) and the yet-to-be narrowed hood looks a little funny right now.

    Dana 80 ????

It has potential. However, if you decide to call it quits, you can dump it off here. ;) So here's the deal, you can utilize the existing Dana 80 spindles. Then, use 14-bolt hubs. However, you will need to bore out the ID of the hub to accept the 37 spline shafts. Here's the downside...

Oops! I didn't see your post prior to posting the same basic thing... Many of us have done this, as it doesn't take much to overtighten them.

    hydro assist set up

Sure, its possible that you have a bad fitting, but those "flared" parts within the fittings can crack if over-tightened. Just an "FYI" yo... If you think the box may be tapped wrong, post up some detailed pics of the box/fitting locations.

yamaha 230 vs honda 230 help

Yeah, the 230 is a heavy bike, no doubt, so the 150 sounds like a good plan in your situation. I'm glad to hear that your wife is uncomfortable with the ATVs. I know that makes me sound like I'm an anti-4wheeler guy, but I believe bikes are generally safer and also more versatile. Those 4...

yamaha 230 vs honda 230 help

Thats a great bike and the weight difference (and smaller size overall) will be an advantage for her. Not having that elec. start is the downside, but she shouldn't have any problem kick-starting the 150 (its just an inconvenience that women tend to notice more than guys). These newer...

yamaha 230 vs honda 230 help

Keep in mind that you can lower the forks in the triple clamps and also buy a lowering link kit for the rear. So, with a little work (and $140 for the link), you'll have a CRF230 that is 2" lower.

That pattern looks like they'd need a different tire for the driver and passenger side though, doesn't it?
