    New goodyear mtr

Well, its already been proved that an off-road tire doesn't need to have a "directional" pattern to work well, so whats the point? Unless, they want to keep the kid running the tire machine guessing at the correct mounting or give their customers a 50% chance of running their spare tire...

    Semi-celebrity motorcycle desert racer? Interesting...

I don't think people will make much of a fuss about it really, and they shouldn't. Of course, if his wife was there, that might be a different story... Meeeow. ;)

    Semi-celebrity motorcycle desert racer? Interesting...

I can't see how... He's simply another guy on a bike to Me.

    Semi-celebrity motorcycle desert racer? Interesting...

So, I've been getting ready for the annual Best In The Desert Laughlin, NV. event (motorcycle only event w/ no ATV's, buggies, trucks). What sets this one apart from the "Vegas to Reno" and "Baja" type races is the really tight and technical course. With gnarly loose climbs, big rocks, evil...

    Dirtbiking the Swell?

Gotta love the Kraftfahrzeuge Trunkenpolz Mattighofen bikes. ;) Ol' Cruiseroutfit and I both have one. :greg:

    Aluminum sheet for cj dashboard

We make custom dashes all the time. If you have specs on your gauges or an idea of the lay-out desired, we'll program and cut your holes on our plasma table. After doing so many for folks on RME, I'm kinda surprised more people don't know this...

    Let's have a discussion!

Keep looking. You should be able to find a nice used Duramax from some "desperate to sell" individual for less than $17k.

    Let's have a discussion!

With the popularity of diesel trucks much lower than in the last several years (especially after last summer's fuel prices), I see more of a reason to own a diesel truck. Most people factor in the inital purchase price, fuel mileage, and cost of fuel (we all know that any of them will...

    Today's weird question

Mandy's join date is Nov. 2005 and first post in Feb. 2009. :D If only Tacoma had a similar track record... :p

Rear links. How long is too long?

I'll agree with this, but I can see two main issues with links in excess of 48". (1) Unnecessary waste of material. (2) Links that are potentially more likely to contact rocks/ledges. Also, when this occurs, they are more likely to bend. For example, this morning I built some links...

General Tech Ford Superduty Dana 60/50 specs

Yup, the early SD ('99-'01-ish) F350's could have either one, and many people go through this same issue. Last winter, we agreed to buy one of these SD D60s from a guy (contigent upon it being an actual D60). When he arrived with a D50, we sent him packing. It wasn't that he was trying to...

March 7th, RME Meet & Greet

Crap! I've been wanting to try out Pat's BBQ for a long time... If I didn't have a NV. race, I'd be there. :(

    Hey Ben Hanks Racing!

Honestly, having them made would not be cost effective, as we would definitely need to charge more than what someone would want to pay... However, you can buy the pre-made flower, petals, and stem materials from Wasatch Steel and make them yourself. I bet even Sami could pull it off. :p

    Hey Ben Hanks Racing!

Well, some of the guys in the shop made some metal flowers (carnations, not roses) this past xmas, but its not typically something we do for people. Thats what they're referring to... With a bit more notice, we could have made a whole bunch for people. :(

    Crawl Magazine

Vector Fab consistis of basically one guy (Jimmy Maybe), who builds rigs for the owner of Vector Arms, an outfit in the Bountiful area (which more or less shut down operations last year). Crawl did feature many of the rigs Jimmy built, and in doing so probably rubbed some shops the wrong way...

    BHR custom FJ40 w/ Hi-9's build-up...

The custom TIG'd exhaust w/ mandrel bends that Casey built returned from Jet Hot coatings (formerly HPC). FYI, these guys have recently moved their Bluffdale operations to AZ. They still have offices here, but don't do any coatings here anymore. :( Here are some pics... :)

    BHR custom FJ40 w/ Hi-9's build-up...

Thanks for the positive feedback! On those high-steer arms... We built the suspension with alot of available up-travel. The compromise was having a tierod down lower due to clearance reasons.

    BHR custom FJ40 w/ Hi-9's build-up...

Yeah, they're close in proximity. However, with the space between the exhaust and the floor, the floor itself, the space between the floor and fuel cell, then the fuel cell wall itself, heat shouldn't be an issue. Also, the down-pipe/exit of the exhaust ends a little forward of the tank above.
