That's old school, so no... ;)

    truck bed sleeping platform

On the one I built, I used nylon straps as pull rather than any kind of hand hole for opening the covers. On that same note, you'll want some kind of hinge to hold them in place, or they'll bounce off. I used that same nylon strapping for a "hinge" and it worked rather well, plus it was cheap...

Help Repeal Vehicle Safety Inspections in Utah

You might want to research the clean air act of 1970. It's mandated by the EPA, and in Utah's non-atainment areas it's administered by the counties.

Help Repeal Vehicle Safety Inspections in Utah

At $40 a stop, do you not think there aren't cops assigned to do this very task? I think I'd take a rejection over a ticket. The hassle will still be there, since you have to go through the emission test. And the emission test is a federal mandate that will never go away, no matter how much...

    SOPA PIPA

While I'm 100% against the entire Sopa/pipa sensorship idea, I can't help but wonder what yesterday was all about? Like it did any good? It reminded me of the "don't buy gas on this day so we can stick it to the oil companies" protests.

let's discuss cheap buggies for a sec

How fast was that D60 going when it tried to kill you?? I've got a complete JK suspension laying in my shed you're welcome to pick over, if you decide to go some kind of coil route.

    jeep commando 350V8

AMC didn't buy Jeep until 1970 if my memory serves me correctly. Prior to that would be the Dauntless line of engines. The 350 is probably of Buick origin, hense the front distributor. 1971 and up would be AMC (still front distributor), but only with the 304.

Expedition Utah Quarterly Trail Ride: Pony Express Trail

Brett, I've got a CB here you can have, if you've got time to install it before then. I have to bow out, have a meeting with a contractor at 10 on Saturday.

    Steve's '94 Toyota x-cab mild build

Cutting the knuckle won't do any good, since you'll still be rotating the steering arm down. Lower the front spring mounts down, if you really want to correct the problem.

Hybrid CO2 12 Volt Compressor System

What I Lean said.. Big problem is, you'll be puting water into your Co2 tank whenever that compressor runs. You'll have to tie into the high pressue side, so you'll need to valve the compressor so it never sees the high pressure. I wouldn't bother. Tie into the low pressure side, and tanks can...

What has everyone done for a hard mounted air compressor ?

Not exactly. ;) See the Puma model above, this is exactly the one I'm using and it's served me well. Got it from the Buzzard guys as well. As cheap as they are, I figured I could go through a few of them and still be money ahead comparred to the cost of a Viair.
