    What should I pull off of a 73 D100 PowerWagon ?

I pulled the door panels for you. But I didn't grab anything else. I would need to see if my friend has hauled it off yet. $10 if you want the panels (just to cover the time I spent pulling them).

    Tire age question

The old Willys project I picked up last week has a nearly brand new set of 31-10.50-15 tires on it but they have been sitting for a long time. The date code looks like they are over 10 years old but they have no sidewall cracking or signs of any problems. I know that the tire places won't even...

Jeep engine build date codes question

I checked some pictures and the tranny is the ax5 like yours. The drivetrain on this tj appears to have very low mileage but it has been sitting for a while so I'll have to check everything out. Hopefully someone can use the drivetrain parts because my garage is overflowing with parts.

Jeep engine build date codes question

I am trying to figure out what year the TJ 2.5 engine and other drivetrain parts were produced that are in the old Willys wagon that I picked up. It appears to be a low mileage engine but I don't know how long it has been in the project. The sticker on the engine has a 7 in the year position but...

    What should I pull off of a 73 D100 PowerWagon ?

Thanks for the link now I know the differences in the knuckles. I'll have to check the axle ratios to see what they are. I'll have to see how much I can pull off of it before my friend who is storing it for me wants it gone. Anyone needs Dodge parts ?

    What should I pull off of a 73 D100 PowerWagon ?

When I picked up the 53 Willys from my cousin I had to also haul off a 73 D100 Dodge Power Wagon. It has a divorced NP205, auto tranny, dana 44 front with flat top knuckles and an engine that has been sitting for a while but supposedly ran when it was parked. Will the d44 flat top knuckles from...

    93 TJ 4.0 in a 2000 XJ ?

There are internal differences in the block but everything should bolt up. In 99 they strengthened the 4.0 blocks. Your 2000 does use a different head than the older ones did so you would need to find a head that matches the one in your rig now. The main difference is the size of valves and the...

    XJ crossmember ?

On my son's Comanche I used a piece of 2"x6" 1/4 wall tubing to make a BDS style crossmember. I may still have enough left over for another one.

    Rear Shackle hanger problem

On my cj8 I busted off bolts in the frame and found that if I took the mig welder and welded an "extension" to the end of the bolt I could walk the rusty bolts out with vice grips. This worked on all but one of the bolts which I ended up drilling out and re-tapping. The part in the frame can be...

    aluminum vs steel rims?

I would go steel, my son shaved off some of the beads and bent one of my aluminum rims in cat canyon so now I have to find a new set since I doubt I can find another to match the other three.

What to do with my motor.

I am going to put one in my 73 Commando project, however emissions requirements are easier to meet on a 73 than your 85. I know you can swap to a v8 in your newer Jeep if you go with a motor that is newer and you put all of the smog stuff on it. When I called the county smog boys I was told that...

What to do with my motor.

It should bolt up just fine as far as I know. There is lots of info on swapping in 4.0s on cjoffroad.com site.

What to do with my motor.

If you want to do a stroker I have a good 4.0 that needs a rebuild.

    waggy lug pattern conversion

Go find an old 70s era Ford and use the outer stuff on the waggy axle. On my son's axle we did the opposite, we took off the Ford stuff and put on GM stuff to match the waggy rear.

    The family Commando build project

The Willys wagon would need to fine a new home. I thought of mounting it on the old Blazer frame since they are fairly close in length then finding someone who needed a project.
