Oops do I need to pull the oil pump ?

Dave, I wouldn't sweat the old sleeve causing any damage assuming it was the stock plastic one. Get a replacement sleeve. "Glue" it to the distributor driveshaft using some very heavy wheel bearing grease, and carefully install it back onto the oil pump shaft.

I still giggle at the thought of you in a CJ.... :D

    785 hp vette against a cj7

I often cruised 70ish in my CJ7, but 4.88's, no overdrive, and 35's kind of limit what you can do. My LJ, 80 was common. In my JK, even 90 feels comfy. Did I ever tell ya how sweet JK's are?? :D

2011 Old School Charity Rock Crawl, May 12-14

Yup, as long as your vehicle passes tech. I suggest you read up on the rules, and you'll know if you're lacking in any department and can correct any issues before then.

    Think before you speak!!!

You're doing it wrong..... I'm one of those lucky ones who can fart on command. Makes these kind of conversations very short. ;)

Bear, PLEASE do this! His cage was spooky last year. He needs to protect his noggin better.

    2011 OSRC Rule Revisions

I think the tire rules have proven to be pretty fair and simple. I don't like having to bump a fairly stock truck running 37's into the legends class, but that's the only way to make it fair to the others. Good news is, you know the rules (some have shown up not knowing in the past). You've...

    2011 OSRC Rule Revisions

No, I don't think so. Bear, in your brothers case he went from coils to leafs, if I remember correctly, which knocks him out of stock right there. Also, I think full sized should stay in Legends for the simple reason "most" of them are sporting more engine than the rest of the lengends.

    Motorcycle Paint

Have any pictures or the air cleaner and side cases? I see a huge red flag here for a Harley. An air cooled in an extremly hot area, probably rental, high mileage, that's been dropped. NOT what I'd be shopping for. If you want, PM me photos, details, and a VIN. I'll check it out, and have...

Trailer question: Why don't trailers use shocks?

Plenty of trailers use shocks, but ride quality on a trailer isn't exactly a high priority.

    when my jeep was towed.......

I try to toss the throw hook on the axle, but there's really nothing wrong with that one either.

    ford f250 V-10

I have a couple V-10's, and like them. Plan on 8 to 9 MPG towing, and 11 around town. The spark plug failure issue is common on both the earlier model V8 and V10 engines. I blew one on my 02 at 50K miles. Haven't had any issues at all on my 99, but it's only got 20K on it too. That one spark...

    Steve's Sidekick Build

Sorry, I meant Zuki. So, both axles will be Toys? I ran 5.29's forever, never broke a pinion and it did decent on the hiway. After I stuck the second case in it, it was far better off road, but I lost a ton of power. Is the Zuk auto a 3 speed, or overdrive? If you're looking for a...

    6.0 vs. 7.3 Powerstroke

Wait, you're not towing with it? Why in the world would you be looking at a diesel then? Diesels, as daily drivers, bring the suck big time! Look at the Ford Excursion, Expedition, or Chebby Suburban gasser in that case.
