You should have! It's been 70* in there all day, and I didn't do squat out there. Seriously, use it. The Blazer is just sitting. It's assembled, and waiting tear down for paint. I'm just saving some coin now to buy all the finishing touches (paint, trim, ect) before carrying on. I'm guessing...

The trailer spindle type mounts are plenty strong for a tire and couple cans. What kills them is vibration. No matter how strong you build your carrier, it's only as strong as the bumper it's mounted on and that is going to flex a bit. The cure for this, as Carl eluded to, is to add some type of...

If you want "old Shool", all brass and copper can't be beat. Aluminumm, if it say's "Ron Davis" it's hard to beat (if you think you need that much). Plastic and metal, don't even consider (the "O" ring WILL fail, sooner or later)
