    It's cool when people start bending their own tube, 'cause they can better appreciate nice, well thought-out tubework. Most people don't realize how much thought and work is involved. Also, alot of people don't take into consideration the notching process. Getting a nice tight fitting notch...

    Here is a pic of our DIY beadlocked 16's that were built last weekend for Carl's comp. rig. We sell the 15", 16", 17", and 20" rings (usually w/o hardware). As you probably know, they will ad approx. 1" to 1 1/2" to the width of your existing rim, making your 8" wide rims more like 9" to 9...

    Save your $19+shipping, those are common parts available at a "Toyota savvy" shop locally. :) BTW, the frame really should be plated on both sides in addition to sleeving the frame (not included in the kit pictured).

    I too have used winches for things other than vehicle extraction, like pulling down or uprooting trees, fence repair, and dragging some building materials around. All of this was done with steel cable. Even though I am totally sold on winch rope and wouldn't go back to steel cable, I'm not...
