fox air shocks and re s-flex joints versus heims?

We've had 2 dozen of the new 16" travel on order. Should be a cool alternative to coilovers. I didn't say better, just different... ;) Can't wait to check 'em out.

fox air shocks and re s-flex joints versus heims?

Actually, the smaller teflon lined ones are $24. :) BTW, you can use the threaded weld in inserts as shown in the pic or your tubing can be directly threaded. It a decision of personal preferrences and/or type of application.

    Power Steering Box Seal

Sure, we tap Saginaw style and Toyota P/S boxes. We also have the kits which include a 6" or 8" custom heavywall ram, hoses, fittings, etc... It's on the 'site. :)

    Power Steering Box Seal

Typically, it's $120 complete with fittings. I think $150+ is the norm in the industry.

    Power Steering Box Seal

You got me thinking about something Shawn... Is the AGR box you just got already tapped for hydro assist? The reason I ask is because if it's not, are you gonna do it if you start replacing seals anyway? If it's already tapped and you just want to replace the "sector shaft cap seal" (unsure...

    AGR Box

One last thing. People often figure that using heat (torch or propane) might loosen 'em up, and it could possibly help. However, theres a good chance that they fry the sector shaft seals too. Not the end of the world, but if the box doesn't leak and isn't showing any sign of wear, it kinda...

    AGR Box

Unfortunately, we have to remove 'em all the time. The best method is to use a puller with an impact to keep things straight (non-binding), crtank it down as much as you dare (pullers are fairly easy to break as you probably know), then take the impact gun off and hammer the end of the puller...

    AGR Box

Shawn, count the revolutions and I can tell ya what your dealing with in relation to other boxes. As a comparison, count the revolutions you get from your current box on the Cruiser. :)

    Wheel City--Good?, Bad?

Caliper/component clearance issues would be one reason.

    Wheel City--Good?, Bad?

Usually, you can get away with 3" and not reverse the shell. Any less, and you're pushing your luck. As far as your 17" rim question... you have a PM. ;)
  19. V

    Wheel City--Good?, Bad?

An interesting side effect of running a really shallow backspaced rim (where they have to reverse the shell) is that you never have the option of installing DIY beadlock rings. The shape of the rim in relation to how the tire is mounted makes it impossible to mount... EVER! :eek2:
