I have no idea how big your heaters are, so I'll just use 1000 watts as a nice round number. If your utility is charging you $0.08 per kilowatt hour, your block heater is costing you 8 cents an hour to run.

Marc, you're welcome to look at mine for ideas. I used 2" X 1/4" sguare tube, 1" trailer spindle, 1/2" bolt through the bumper to hold it closed, and some rubber bumpers placed to eliminate vibes. Works great, if I do say so myself. :D

Yes, you're right on your guess of what it is. I'm sure there's a more technical name for it, but suck winch works for me.
Mechanical steering, hydraulic assist allowed (no full hydraulic steering).
Is that too simplified?
Also, I'm against the "suck" winch as well. However, I think if you have a bumper mounted winch you should be able to attach your hook anywhere on the vehicle to store it. If it happens to...
