10 car pile up, one of them being a school bus full of kids. Or so says the news.

Alf, I poured 12 yards over the summer using the U-Cart method. They're charging $125 a yard. It actually worked out good because I could get the cart right where I needed it, which saved me having to hire a pump. Also, two yards is plenty of work for one guy to pour and finish by himself...

XD9000i VS M8000 Help me understand

I'm sure you've looked, but have you checked Ebay? I picked up my 9.5 for $60 less than Winchdepot delivered, from a dealer on there. It's been too long, otherwise I'd link you to the seller.

XD9000i VS M8000 Help me understand

Hey, I told ya I was tired. ;) How much cable does the 9K unit hold? I noticed the 8K one was only 80'. I think mine is 125', and that extra reach could come in handy some day. Did you get the e mail from Carl? That one might just be worth a try, for the money.

XD9000i VS M8000 Help me understand

Something wrong with you math there big feller. If your motor is spinning 13,000 RPM, then your drum would be turning 6400 RPM (2.16:1). I'd go over your math, but I've already got a headache. :D From just looking at your chart, I'd lean toward the 9000 pound unit for the simple fact it's...

XD9000i VS M8000 Help me understand

Assuming both motors are rotating the same rpm (I used 1200 as a guess), the 8000 pound unit is capable of 4500 ft. lbs. of torque, while the 9000 pound is only capable of 3000. My best guess would be the motor on the 8000 pound model is turning quite a bit faster than the 9000. If the 8000...

    RV Show

I was very impressed with the progress Toy Haulers have made. Didn't look at a single tent trailer, so I really can't comment. Campers with slide outs are also very cool! While I thought the prices were high on most everything, the larger motorhomes seemed to be priced fairly reasonable. Due...

    Extreme Scrambler Makeover

Don't under estimate how hard that cage is going to be to lift out of there, you're going to need a few bodies (as we found out the hard way).

How many 'spare' vehicles do you have?

    Do Harley's count as spares?

    Enough already

That's just wrong... I think Phill blew it this year. My transmission went out on my blower on New Years day. I've been shoveling this crap by hand since, waiting for my repair parts to arrive. I just got word I should have them Tuesday, :) I'll have it up and running by Wednesday. I'll bet...

Think I would be dumb too.....

Big Dog eh? Given my choice, I'd take a crotch rocket over a Big Dog any day. I have a few friends who have owned them, and I've ridden a few myself. From what I've seen, they're the most overpriced and unreliable bike on the market. I ride Harleys for several reasons. One, because I can...

Think I would be dumb too.....

Well, I was going to add wait till you could get a real bike, but I didn't want to be a total Richard..... Rockets are fun, for about 10 minutes.
