If the old one was one speed, it will work fine other than you paid a lot of money for the extra two speeds. I'm assuming you don't have central air? If you want to get your money back, I have a couple brand new 3/4hp single speeds. Yours for the taking if they'll work for you.

For what it's worth, I just tossed mine. Once you're lifted, the tranny pan isn't much of an issue. Plus, there was no really good way to reuse it with the RE long arm kit.

I'm afraid he's right. All of our trucks, right down to the 3/4 tons, have to have the DOT numbers clearly displayed. You're right, it's a crock, but it's the law.
