With a spool up front I dont know if your steering is going to be perfect with hydro assist. It will help a ton though.
You can always go the CalRanch way and buy one of the SLOW tractor rams for 65 bucks. They even have lines there that are a ton cheaper than getting them made at evco...
I found out that painless wiring doesnt even make a harness for a 460. They only have one ford harness for the mustang 5.0
This project is going to suck. Hopefully it will be worth it

You show me a heep with a 460 in it and I will show you a smile :) Its been a tough call and a 2 year decision to swap out the IH 345. It just comes down to horsepower. I could get a 392 and put a ton of money into trying to build it and still only be about where a 460 with a cam in it...
really well except I need more shocks.....I just used one procomp cheapy on each side and it just isnt enough. Im thinking I will get a remote reservoir fox shock and give them a try.
I think grade 5 bolts would be fine but dont use the grade 5 washers. They bend and warp way easy. I used grade 8 bolts on mine though.

Craig at Craigs tranny repair in Kaysville told me that if Ford would have kept using the c6 that he would be out of business. I actually am putting a 460 and a c6 in the Scout this winter
Where we are going is south east Idaho. I think Boise is about 4 hours from Idaho Falls. Dont quote me on that though. 10 hours is quite a drive for a wheeling trip but then again.......how far are you from Price??
How is the project coming?
Nope. King Challenge is June 9th and we are heading to Idaho the 22nd. So hopefully I wont kill the Scout as bad as I did last year at the competition.
