Sorry for piping in way late here but..... Sounds like you're wanting to unload your alternator a tad? You can install a dozen batteries, but it's not going to help your alternator situation a bit. A dead or weak battery is going to tax your alternator, no matter how many you have. Nice...

Understand, I'm no Enginerd, but I think you,ve stuck on something here. If indeed I'm unlocked and puting 300 ft/lbs to the front axle, what happens when I lift a wheel??? The engine revs right? Thus, that 300 did disappear into thin air in the form of wheel speed... Am I thinking right...

I've seen the square tube cages around.... Way too redneck for me, not to mention I dont want to risk my life on welded joints. I had Rocklogic bend mine up, and I did all the final fitment and welding. VERY reasonable if you go that route.
