I think there is actually a recall on those. i know there has been a lot of problems with the Aluminum 44's in ZJ's. I believe the bearings are the same, not sure. Carrier is different. Check with the dealer and maybe search the ZJ forum on Jeeps Unlimited. HTH

Check all the vacum lines. Could be a a leak even further down in the vacum circuit that is causing a loss/change in vacum at the dist.. I agree with looking there first. Was you dist loose at all, could it have jumped a tooth? Unlikely, but..... I have seen vacum diaphrams only leak once...

I actually just switched the radiators and kept the closed system with the late model radiator. It has been that way for 2 years without a problem. Except for an unrelated crack in the overflow bottle.

We used the SAW frt coil overs (toca specific) and an add-a-leaf rear on my friends. It works great. Mild lift 2" or so. But it hadled better and felt more stable on and offroad. He has had it for 2 years, no signs of problems. Not cheap though.

I agree fully!!!! Upgrade the whole axle. You will save money in the longrun.
