Tomorrow is the big day! All 3 classes still have room for more teams, and we always have room for spectators. Call your friends and family and get them to come with you. Remember all dollars earned go towards improving the challenge park and/or keeping our trails open. The best reason to get them to come is it's just plain fun. I mean how much better dose it get then a day of wheelin with a couple thousand(I hope) screaming fans cheering you on.

As for the reason for running the mini baha as the first event: this is done for a couple reasons, primarily because it is hard for the crowd to see from the main stands, so we have the crowd watching the one event, then they can move back over to the main stands for a better view of the rest of the event.

That's right.. I remember that now.. The entire crowd over there watching us nearly roll our rigs on those tight, loose corners in order to get the fastest times.... :D

Wow, what an event ... Now I know why Wayne keeps hyping this event ...

My crew and I took 3rd overall in the Open class .. Got most aggressive driver award for a first place showing in the Baja (what till you see the action sequence that Moab Action Shots caught of this one).

2nd in logs (after a 20 point penalty for smearing a cone), tied 2nd on tires, 3rd engineering, 4th on rock garden, did not complete mud, sucked on pull ... good showing on Gauntlet (they only announced the first two winners, not sure where I placed here, but did cruise it to completion in good time.).

We walked away very pleased … Special thanks to everyone in Price that put in so much work for this event.

Couple ticklers:

Logs were HARD - I followed Scott in the BEAST - who left us to follow a BIG hole

A bunch of pictures follow - if someone wants me to just link a site, let me know, I'll remove these

Here are some shots of the various events before they were run

We walked up the Gauntlet and took a few shots first

Check out my high water mark – driver side tracks on that far wall, passenger side was basically a cliff .. pure centrifugal force and high velocity forward motion keep me from rolling right there, wish I had a picture of that.

Here is a picture of what the approach to that looked like from way down the Gauntlet

Rock Garden, I should have got some shots looking down (can you say, BIG holes)

That's because I made them soak it with the fire hose before you guys got there. I figured since I didn't kill you Open Class guys by putting you in the mud first then I would try to make the mud in the logs as deep as the mud pit. No way was I letting you poor suckers in there on dry dirt. :D
