ok, that's what I was wondering. Us small guys have a tough time finding bikes that fit us too. Proper bike fitment is HUGELY important. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

The HT I just bought is a 21", I've got the same length dimensions as you Kevin. 6'3" and 34" inseam. Its been great, you're welcome to ride it around the neighborhood if you want.

I'll ask a question about standing/sitting but it may be more related to road biking since my commute is flat. When I'm cruising to work on my bike I don't have downhills to stand up on. I'm trying to take some of the weight from sitting and move it to my legs but thats hard to do when I'm pedaling. I also pedal like 95% of the time on my commute and rarely coast. Any tips or tricks for that?

I need to get to a trail.

is $1500 out of your price range?

With a newborn baby, a wife out of work, and an unfinished engine swap clogging my driveway? She'd kill me if I tried to spend $1500 on a bike right now :D. I eventually will be looking somewhere in the $1500-$2000 range though.

I stumbled across Fezzari last night. They're a local outfit, right down there in Orem. They've got an entry level full suspension 29er for well inside my budget, and they get rave reviews across the net. Once I've got a little money in my pocket I want to pay them a visit. I hope it's before they get huge and their prices go up. :)

nnnnnate, for your type of riding, you're doing everything right. The standing/attack position is more for off-road mountain biking, not so much commuting. I suppose you could still practice it hopping off curbs and stuff.

That's the same problem I have, Nate. I'm trying to commute regularly, but with 15 miles each way of steady cranking, my entire south side is either numb or on fire by the time I get to work. It makes sitting in an office chair for another 8 hours almost intolerable. Most places recommend raising the seat to place more weight on your hands, but then I get numb wrists. I haven't found the balance yet.

Amazon has some cheapo suspension posts in the $25 range - for that kinda money, I might take a flyer on one, and if it makes any difference at all I'll shop for a better one later.

I was getting numb last year on the rigid I was riding. The first few rides this year I numbed a little in my hands but I've since not had any issues. I get saddle sore but I assume that'll go away as I keep riding. My commute is 13.5 miles if I go from home to work but I cheat, I have been driving my Jeep to 3100 S. and Redwood (the cultural center and WVC police substation) then riding the remaining 6 miles in. That has helped the legs and butt get accustomed to riding again. I'm dropping my rig off to Skippy this afternoon though for a re-gear so I'll be riding the whole way tonight, tomorrow both ways, and Friday when I pick it back up.

I think I'm ready for a gooseberry mesa trip in the next couple weeks. What's the verdict, too hot right now?

Oh man, I wish.

Let's go down there and lounge around in the shade at camp all day, and then ride all night. I bet the night riding weather is perfect right now.

I'm down for some night rides, though I'm sure I'd get lost there at night. Anyone else have a nightrider or bright headlight for night rides? I have two i can loan out. They're not as bright as the newest ones, but they do the trick.

They had a killer sale a few weeks ago. I know it doesn't help you now, but maybe they'll do it again next year.

Sundance race was fun.

Come on out and pedal. Just did the Sport B category. Sad when 12 year old girls pass you. Lol

Loafer Mtn ride would be nice?
