Are the Quarterly Trainings still a thing?

I've been browsing the forums, and I've seen the info about the Quarterly Training events that have happened in the past. Those sounded pretty great, and I'm bummed I missed out on those. Are there any plans or desire for doing these things in the future? I'd love to attend one.

Plans and desire, I sure think so. Time is the killer, everyone involved has been really busy and a meshing date is tough to come up with. I'm going to have more free time later this fall and through the winter and would love to help with another training day.

if there's enough demand and the dates and times mesh, then I might be interested. (How's that for non-committal?)

What timeframe would you guys want? Sept? Oct?

AF Canyon is easiest for me and will require the least amount of planning.

If we could get 20 people committed, I'd be willing to make it happen.

The trick would be getting a few volunteer instructors so you don't have to listen to me and mesha the whole time.

Which topics would you guys like to see at the next QTD?

End of September or early October would be best for weather.

I know it's been beat to death, but I would like hands on recovery class with actual anchors out to use.

I also really enjoyed the paramedic that came out a couple years back. I could use a refresher on camping/trail first aid and trauma

were you at our last one when maverick set up the winches and we demonstrated setting up different winches with different pulleys for different loads? We pulled that nice FJ Cruiser around a few trees.

I remember when I was willing to share some information about differentials and lockers of various types. I would be willing to commit to this again, schedule permitting. (And with enough advance notice, I should be able to make it fit into my schedule.)

Even if recovery has been a common topic, I would also love to attend an event with that subject. And I suppose you can never have too many refreshers on trail trauma/first aid.

I'm still really sorry I missed that. I would have loved to have been there.

September would be better, but I could do October as well. I'll second the call for some hands on recovery training. And honestly, just some general tech info would be good too - info on lockers, diffs, and just general info on making a rig trail-worthy. I've owned trucks off & on for years, but in general, I'm pretty much a n00b at this stuff.

First aid stuff is always good to know, and I know a few guys that may be available to help out with some info on that.
