Lots of little stuff getting finished right now. I have the fuel system all done, just need to tighten up the fittings. Made the fuel cell guards for the corners of the tank. Mounted up the computer and plugged in the wiring and extended some sensor wires. Did my t case shifters for those who are waiting for their staks;) Got my trans shifter this last week also. Made the mount for it but spent 3 hours trying to adjust the cable. Ended up I had the trans shift lever on backwards and then everything shifted and aligned fine:rolleyes: So a couple more switches to wire and fluids and hopefully she runs this week:D

IT'S ALIVE!!! Well yesterday was the first little bit of time for me to work on the buggy since it moved shops the last couple weeks. I had already finsihed up the computer mounting and basic wiring and extending the harness in places and some basic switch work. But it still would not crank through the switches and I had no ignion power. I thought about it over night and worked on it for about an hour after work today. I got the ignition power figured out quick then the pump turned on and tightened down all the AN fittings. Then tried to fire it up. Everything cranked and powered up but no fuel pressure. Turned out I had the pump plumbed backwards. Fixed that then I had good pressure, but no start still. I was used to the small diametr fuel line being pressure but appatrently the 6.0's etc the big line is the pressure. Switched the lines and second crank she fired right up. I let it run for about ten seconds and shut it down because I had a finger over the oil pressure sending hole. Since I still need to plug it. Sounds good though for not running in 1.5 years:D Further testing this week hopefully

Sweet! It seems like there is always something to track down or figure out when firing for the first time.

Yeah the good thing was it only took about 10 minutes to fix both. Now just need to get the last things ran, so I can let it run like regular for an extended amount -plus gauges;)

Music to your ears :)

So what is left to be able to have the buggy moving under it's own power? You going to take a trip out to little Moab to test it out, or going to dive right in with a trip to a larger place ;)?

WOOOOHOOOOO, congrats Kiel. That's too cool. Now you've got me wondering if I've plumbed my fuel correctly. Of course I have a couple of questions. Is your exhaust on? What about your o2 sensors? Will it fire without them?

Again, big congrats man. I'm not far behind you.

LOL I had the exact same fuel pressure problem.
Congrats man.

I know;) I told you. It's the opposite on this engine though I guess. I still have quite a few things to do. I still don't have drivelines and brakelines. Then just a bunch of little stuff. I cut my original oil pressure light sending unit and plan to try to weld it up as a plug temporarily, while I figure where all the guages are going to go.

Oh yeah and Bart- it fired with no o2's. I have them, just need to weld the bungs in. Probably this weekend. Going to look at houses tonight;)

This weekend i got my hydro hoses done, I just need to route the 2 main better and out of harms way. I made my dash and sorta have wired my gauges. Filled my shocks up finally, welded my seat belt tabs and body skin tabs. This weeks agenda is buy air cleaner, trans dipstick, check trans that I buitt myself;) and finally find lower radiator hose, I found a good upper one that looked the hardest just the stupid lower now.
