Well I just got out of the shower. Pretty good progress tonight. Drove the Scout around the block!
Only issue we had was one of my boots came undone on the front axle. It is defineatly a ton different driving now than it used to be. The rear steer is a very weird feeling. I need a return to center really bad but it works and is very cool! Its going to take me a LONG time to get used to it and be good with it. Fun tho!
I will wake up early to finish up. Just need to bolt the doors, winch and hood on. I also came up with a good/easy way to get some removable mudflaps on it. Should only take me a half hour or so.
Im shooting to be out of here at noon

Well...
We made it home last night. All in all the trip was a success for the Scout! Everything seemed to work pretty decent.
The only problem I had all week was it is making a horrible gear grinding noise. It started just on deceleration but then started getting worse. I thought it was the t case so we tore it completely down to find nothing wrong with it. I then thought it had to be my rear driveline that I welded together. Took it to Six states and had them true it up. No luck.
Finally figured out it is my Black Box underdrive from Northwest Fab that is making the pleasant noise. As long as we kept it under 10 mph it didnt do it but around 10 it would do it off and on. VERY annoying. We had this part out last summer and had to send it back to Canada to get it fixed. I think I have about 4 wheeling days on it and its falling apart again. Im not happy. I SO wish I would have just done a doubler instead.
The Rockwells, brakes, front and rear steering, and suspension all worked well. It did feel really tipsy the first couple days. I put the front tires up to 10 psi and that helped a ton. I was running them at 5 before and they would fold over pretty easy. I do want a sway bar now tho.
The rear steering is extremely fun! It is a very strange feeling but Im quickly wondering how I lived without it. It saved me a couple times in some sticky situations.
The week went by really fast and I didnt get to wheel with as many people as I wanted to. The TTC reunion was kind of a bust as well. It was a great week of wheeling tho! I didnt get many pics but I know people I was with did. Hopefully I will get a few to post up

Hey bro, as always it was good to catch up with you and Char. I do wish that our vacation was not so short. I think that it would have been great to wheel for a few more days. The Scout worked well and I am glad that you and Mitch were able to get it together for this trip. I am looking forward to our next adventure. I will also be giving you a call and asking your mother if she would mind making more limiting straps.

The more I drove the more I got used to it. I got pretty decent at getting it really close to center just by feeling the back end move around. I think a return to center would be a smart thing to have but not a necesity at all.
I honestly dont know if I will end up doing one or not.
Some more bad news though. My new motor lost oil pressure! I thought the gauge must have broke but I opened up the oil filler and looked in. Sure enough no oil. I pulled the pump off yesterday and had it warrantied since it has like 5 hours on it but I didnt get it all put back together yesterday.
I cant believe we had to pull the oil pan again. I thought for sure I was done with that for awhile...............thats what I get for thinking
