WTF, I have a clone?

The jacket was an eBay score, as I recall the owner had something to do with one of the old racing teams. On the front it says "Toyota Racing"

Most v6s and such in 7 series and 1400 get somewhere between 6-8mpg in a "race situation". I would expect you have pretty low gears and large tires so that might not help mpg. If you don't get lost or have trouble and your cell with foam and all still holds 12+ gallons you should make one lap.

4.10 gears.. Stock for most Toyota pickups/4runner of similar vintage..

So, not "low" gears ;)

Thats what our truck is running and with the 3.4 I would say we get 8-10mpg when we are really getting after it. So you guess hev window nets, harnesses, suits, etc?
You guys still planning on making the race?

Hell yes we'll be there. You don't paint a rig with the retro Toyota racing scheme and not show up to the race.. :p

We've got one net and need a second.. We've got harnesses, need to pick up the seats.. We need to pick up one fire suit from Bart and locate another..

I have a 22 gal JAZ pro sport cell that I would be willing to let you borrow for the race. I need it back for my build, but you could use it for this race.
PM me if interested.

There was a fire suit on bor forum, i bet you already saw that though.

I am going to make some calls tomorrow and try and fins places local that carry one piece single layer suits. Summit is a couple days out an they have suits for around $90.

By the way I thought about painting our toy the iron man scheme like that too...Always did love those colors.

we just found a 15 gallon fuel cell so our fuel problem should be ok 15 gallons should be enough to make the lap. ive heard so many differant numbers on how long this race is. at the pre-tech they told me 2 laps of about 75 miles each, now ive heard 35 mile laps and 3 laps, and what ever else. does anyone know the official milage?
