I'm only planning on having the 4400 cars do 2 laps, only the fastest classes will do the full 3 laps. That should allow all the finishers in all the classes to cross the line before the sun goes down.
We have had requests for one lap, two laps, and three laps from prospective 4400 racers. Nothing is set in stone until race day, so if anyone has a preference on how many they would like to do please let me know.
I'll have more info for you guys planning your fuel stops at pre-tech. The course is roughly 80 miles, I'll have to look at the map tomorrow and see how many remote pit locations there are.
The 560 horse LS in our MD class 1 averaged just above 5 mpg at V2R. I think 8 is a pretty safe estimate for your toy. I would plan around that if you're unable to go out and test it before the race. Either way you should have your pit crew keep track of how much fuel they add at your first fuel stop and calculate your milage based on that. That way you can modify your pit strategy during the race to get the most out of every pit.
While you're adding that cross tube for the belts you really need to throw some diagonal bracing in that "B" pillar to keep it from folding over in a bad roll. Just a single diagonal would likely be sufficient, an X would be better, we can talk about it at pre-tech. Oh and I'll see if I can round up some loaner seats for ya too.
