Do a google search for 'walker evans ejs 2009'...

.. You'll see that this Pritchett run was an 'official' run for numerous LARGE companies, and as far as i'm concerned, accomplices.

The photos from what I could tell don't show Axle Hill, but it is irrefutable proof that they were there that day.

I disagree with you as well..

I do however agree with the first line of your sig. It would be pretty stupid to spread the photos unless Wlaker was completely unwilling to make things right.

3. I have thought about it and still believe that trying to hide photos of him screwing up makes you and anyone else that has them just as culpable by trying to hide the fact (proof) that it was done. if we don't want to give the enviro Nazis ammo we need to be more proactive at the time things like this happen IE if someone was there to take pics why didn't they just run up and say to Mr E why are you driving off the trail.. blah blah blah blah

The context is DumbButt is driving off the trail and his buddies all stand around taking pictures and don't do anything about it at the time. The 4X4 Community says they can police themselves but obviously they can't.

so they will put it into context :)

Hmm lets see.. should I post my resume online for you because you are soooo damn important?

I was trying to stick to the facts and posted why I thought that the pics should be posted and you and Sami replied with the same Trite reasoning as you always do with no information to back it up other than the fact that you are afraid of what the environmentalists "Might" do.

*general comment*

I don't think it's fair to expect everyone to openly police the trails.. If that's your thing, and you're comfortable doing that, then go for it.. no harm.. But to say that all 4x4 enthusiasts should get vocal at the time? No way, not gonna hapen. Most poeple don't like confrontation, so pictures are the next best thing.

It's soooo easy to sit back and say what you would've done, after the fact.

It is so easy to say that I have done such before and it is PROOF that we cannot or will not police ourselves as a community.

Most people don't like confrontation but are willing to go off on the internet like they are big men (and Women) pointing out that so and so is a bad guy. I have been trying to stay on target but our wonderful U4 ambassadors can't seem to keep this non personal :)

Lets just agree that we both think things should be handled in different ways and that the current way things are being handled and that insulting each other isn't going to help.

I'll leave it up to the owner of the photos and the moderators of RME to decide if/where they get posted, but if they were mine, you would have already seen them in an "Oxygen Thief of the Day" thread. Your right we don't want the anti-motorized factions using photos out of context. But if you think they don't have access to hundreds and hundreds of others that they took themselves at these events, your up in the night. They sit at EJS and take photos, just like they do at Arch Canyon, Paria River, Factory Butte or any other heavily contested public land. Do these photos get used, absolutely, in their slide shows or media propaganda, often out of context but its a given.
