I'm liking that ram behind mount. Also, maybe tube doors instead of the brace? I'm thinking if you actually end up keeping rocks out with it then the door jams will be toast either way.

Been fighting my steering setup and decided to limit the ram and my steering.

Standard ram stroke is 8"
Axle steering stroke is 6.6"
Spacer needs to be 1.4" long

Not much in there lol

Got the brace made for the master cylinder, it's as hard as a rock now.
And modified the stock brake setup.
Where the clutch pedal was is now where the brake pedal is, and had to extend the 5/8" shaft 5" then cut up the clutch pedal for the end of the shaft to ride in. Next I'm going to drill a hole through the brake pedal and rod to run a bolt through the two and drill a few holes in the rod for some pins to slide through.

it's looking really good Mitch. When's the goal to have it out on the trail? I'm impressed with how much you get done in so little time.

I need your help getting Eric back on the trail, it's been too long.

Thanks steve!
Depends on the job situation to buy my doubler stuff...but I'm shooting for the bronco safari (may1-4)
For working like 3hrs on it here and there I think it's coming along pretty good...
really not happy about limiting my steering tho..but I can't figure out what to do about it..rear steer? Lol

He is to good for us now lol maybe we can get him out when I do my test run at the snakes.

jinxspot came over and we had a tire grooving party on my 44's!
It was a lot of cutting but I love em and owe Ryan big time.

There harder to spin and roll around on the floor then before...I think there going to be good tires.

I'm still fighting with my steering..I did all the measurements and math for the spacer for de stroking the ram and I did it wrong.
Apparently something or some how my axle was not turned all the way or something. But I thought the spacer needed to be 1.3/8" well I'm 1/4" short :( if its not one thing it's another.

But did a little work on my brakes.
Got my temp brake lines routed and hooked up so I can make my nice ones now.
And I wanted to use the same 9/16" pin for the push rod so i can use the stock brake light switch but damaged mine so I took one off a Chevy truck...let me tell you, if GM built the hole truck like they did that pin, it would be a lot better truck.
I had to use the press to get it out and it completely destroyed the pedal and my socket and thought the press was going to brake..then I tried to drill a hole through it and I couldn't even scratch it!
I decided to run my door bars cus with my brake pedal now where my clutch used to be my leg rest's perfectly to use the brake so it's really comfortable to always have my foot on the brake.

Nice, the tank brackets look killer!!!

Also good know rme4x4 has helped & giving you lots of resourses to get some quality parts for a realistic build of one Bad Bronco!!!

def part of the game is knowing who to ask for advice/opinions, where to source custom cut parts and scrounging used/quality parts when need be, you def got me hooked with your write up too!
Kudos.

Yupp!

If there is one thing my build shows is you can build a nice capable rig on the major cheap without sacrificing quality.
Without ksl and rme4x4 and my brother & buddy's I would be screwed lol

thanks for the props Ryan!

I have found this to be very true as well. Christine has come as far as she has because of Cheston and Mitch. The ideas have come from the RME faithful as well. In fact the whole idea of building christine has been because of RME. Pretty amazing.

Well said ole buddy!

This is a very long awaited and over due upgrade.
And I'm stoked to have it in!!

I was going to run a alum cell I got and cut the hole out of my floor and I never got around to fixing the tank so I have had a huge hole in my floor for many years lol
