After researching and looking at some older dual diaphragm setups, i figured out how to get the dual diaphragm booster into my 2002 tacoma.
Stock single diaphragm power brake booster
The stock linkage, some of the parts aren't completely put back together, just put it back up to take a pic. I removed the bottom link and used the stock pin with the spring attached.
Dual diaprhagm ready to go in. I took off the stock dual diaphragm fitting since it was too large and screwed on the stock single booster fitting until it wouln't go on anymore.
I also had to add a few washers on the bottom (I used 3 to about 3/16"-1/4" thick) so that it would line up with the hole and slide straight. I tried it without washers and it worked but I could tell it was binding slightly.Only downside is it doesn't seal against the firewall all the way. Might need to come up with a way to make it seal if it begins to leak or the road noise is too much.
Here is the linkage all setup.
Dual diaphragm booster with a t100 1-1/16" bore 1 ton MC. My goal is to get some better pressure to the brakes so that they will work better. Using the T100 mc allows me to use my stock brake lines and keep the sensor that tells me if my brake fluid is low.
Seems to work just fine as far as pushing the pedal in and out. I still need to hook up the lines and fill to test it out.
