Then tonight I tackled the trans/exhaust tunnel and bracing my floor. Gonna add a 1" ring around the top of it for burritos since the exhaust is about 1.25-1.5" below it

Well not a whole lot, but some big stuff none the less.

Cory got the drivelines knocked out, the front and rear are the same length so he knocked out a spare too.

The Drive lines are so high up out of the rocks with these Rockwell chunks and our relatively low buggy chassis that the front drive line gets shorter at full droop and longer at full compression lol. The rear drive line only had 3/8" of plunge.

Well Austin has been gone too damn long and we want to wheel this thing sooner than later so i am finishing up and getting it ready to paint when he comes home in a few weeks.

I found me a 17year old kid named Kevin that wants to learn to fab and weld so he has been over the last few months doing all my slave work. I would probably just wait for Austin to come home but this kid wants something to do so we tore into Austins buggy. The only thing we really have to do fab wise is the skids. The chassis needs finished welded and chromed up for paint, and finished torn down. We spent about 45min the other week and had the axles out and it upside down. Kevin has spent a few days finish welding out the bottom. I told him as long as his welds are better than Austins, which aint hard to do:rofl: then there wont be any problems. I drew up and cut out most the skid parts today.

Kevin welding away.

Just wrapping up Austins skids meow. I was going to bolt on the boat sides to but Austin reminded me that wasn't our original plan so they got welding on and the holes i cut to be bolted on will be nice drain hole now. We can access everything really well by removing just the bottom skid so the boat sides got burned in today by kevin. The bottom skid and engine skid bolt on reality easy with recessed bolt hole keeping the bolt heads safe and the bottom flat. I precut 3/8 holes for when we get around to buying some UHMW plastic to bolt onto latter. I <3 my plasma table.

Tomorrow i will finish gusseting the bottom side and maybe get it flipped right side up and start removing everything.

Austin will be home for 4 days on the 22nd so we will have it ready for him to paint (because i aint F'in doing that:shawn:) and then we will assembled and get it weighed for springs before he leaves.

Kevin squeaked up in there to weld on some of inner skid tabs.
