Anyway...here are a couple new ones

I got 18 gauge sheetmetal. I kinda wish I would have went 16. To late now

I had a pretty good problem of hitting my rotor on rocks. Its pretty bent up. This is something Ive wanted to do since the Rockwells went under.

Start of the front bumper. I was going for a old style push bar look :p I cant decide if I like it yet or not

Its getting pretty close to being ready for paint. I need to make a checklist. Only have a month until I leave for MOAB!!!

i like teh finished look of the front body, but i have to ask dont you ever worry about your headers ever getting hit? it looks like there in the open but maybe they are protected more than i can see

Have you run airbumps upside down before? It's not seeming like they'd work well that way, in my mind anyway.

Cheston when will you be in Moab? Is Cory headed down as well?
I will be there the 20-27. Corey is going to try to come but the Durango wont be ready. Bringing a Bronco

They are somewhat in the open but Im not worried about them at all. Rocks will hit the lower links before they will hit the headers. If it misses the links.....its gona be on the tires. I hope anyway:greg:

I havent run them upside down myself but I know guys that do and have been for a few years now. You wont get the full benefit of the bump and they will fade after a long time of high speed stuff. Just because all the oil is at the bottom. But as for the initial BUMP they will work just fine and will keep my axle out of the motor

I dont plan on this being a KOH rig.........as of now;)

Basically just no room. Between the alternator on the passenger side and the cooling tubes on the drivers I couldnt come up with a better plan.

i'm diggin' the front end on that thing.

i'm wondering why you kinda wished you would have went with 16g instead of 18? i'm in the process of doing the same thing on my rig and i was thinking of using 18g for the panels.

Just would have been easier to weld. Im sure the 18 is strong enough but I dont have the patience for the tack tack tack. So I spent most of the beads trying to fill in burn holes. My welds just arent as pretty as I hoped.
Thats the only reason

Today was a bad day on the Scout . I bought new boots and my brother came over to help me today. So I had him start tearing into my axles. My failure to perform any maintanance on my axles showed up really quick. I had 4 seized wheel bearings. So much mud and general sh!t in there they just plugged up. Killed the races to. Then we killed the seals trying to get the bearings off. Of course I am WAY past my budget at this point so this was not good.

Then to top it off.....one of my rear stub shafts is 99% broken. I dont have any idea how its together still. I need to get a pic of it.

SOOOO......I went over to Boyce. Its about 10 minutes from home. Mark had a box full of good used bearings that have been sitting in oil since removed. I found some that looked brand new. They didnt keep any used races tho. Got new seals, and found a used stub shaft that I didnt want to buy but what do you do???? 200 bucks that I was not planning on spending so it was a bad day. Then to top if off....I had to clean old mud and grease from everything. So Im actually farther behind today than I thought I was yesterday. So some of the things I was planning on doing are getting pushed til after Moab. Nothing that should affect performance to much.

I leave in a week

today was only half a bust. I ordered a 3" 8 sided socket for my hubs. It showed up to Napa at 5. Went and got it and its a 6 sided. Wont work. So I just let my axles sit today. Right one should be here in the morning.

So today I built my lexan panels and got the mounts welded, drilled, and tapped. Im planning on spraying the back of them green.....if I have time

I also mounted my ammo can tool boxes next to the back seat but forgot pics.

Finally, I put the grille together and got it in. Its a TIGHT fit. Scraped the paint in a couple spots but not to bad
