Last weekend I rode the ol' ATK from my house in Lewiston to Cub River Idaho. From there I rode the Highline trail to Beaver mountain ski resort. Then across highway 91 to Temple fork--Ephriams grave--Steel hollow single track---Right Hand fork--out Logan canyon and back to Lewiston. ~100 miles mostly dirt. Good times.

Epic day of riding today, 275 miles! Took the freeway to Glenwood Springs, then turned to the Crystal Mill above Marble, CO and back by way of McClure Pass and Buzzard Divide road. Ended up riding thru a massive thunderstorm by Mesa with 1/2" hail (I took cover for that part), tested out my rain gear... after getting soaked. Love days like this, so much that I think I'll do it again tomorrow!

Wow Greg that's a long day of riding! It seems like this trip is exactly what the new bike was meant to do. That area really does look too good to be real

That's a good plan! Take it easy on the adventure bike after you're raced... guys that have a racing background are usually pretty damn skilled on a big bike!

It wasn't that long, actually... the first 100 miles were freeway at 75-85 MPH so I covered a lot of ground to get into the mountains. Left my house around 11 AM, back home around 5 PM. The area up here is simply beautiful, lots of places to explore too.

Saturday Harrison and I met up with Tyson(Cascadia) for a ride up American Fork. Also tagging along was one of my riding buddys (Craig) and his wife. This was my first ride up there and how I have never been up there blows my mind. What a treat all of you in Utah County have in that place. I only remember riding 40 and I think 157 but it was a riot. After Craig and his wife left we went back up to ride another trail which Harrison had a problem with and slid down off the trail maybe 15 feet. I am glad Tyson was there to help me muscle it back on the trail. At that point we turned around and headed out. I lost my rear brake for some reason on the way down. It looks as if I have a loose bolt that was leaking fluid.

Harrison had a riot. He actually rode it with his friend and his dad the week prior and he loved it. He is getting faster and faster which makes me more nervous. I think I finally have his Rekluse, jetting and gearing set now. I ended up getting him a custom 13tooth front sprocket. ProTaper claim to have them but I spend a week looking for someone to have one in stock. There is a sprocket shop in Richfield, Utah called Sprocket Specialists. Great service and very friendly. They can make pretty much anything.

Single track riding is a ton different now with some lower gearing with that race gearing on the CRF150RB.

Harrison was giving Tyson a hard time for riding an ORANGE bike every time we stopped. Tyson was giving Harrison a hard time back so its all good. Its fun being able to have my 13 yr old riding with me. He isnt as fast as we are but he is getting faster every time out.

I did own the place. Until I got owned by the other guy that I hit head on. Never want to do that again. Blind corners suck. So do broken wrists. Hopefully it's just sprained or torn.

Went and rode today with my buddy Luke: went up Buckland Ridge, then Tuttle Loop.
Luke rode the struggle train a bit on the climb up from the Tuttle Mine.

This is a gnarly climb.

He got worn out and frustrated and I had to ride his bike up one section, but he did just come back from a shoulder separation at the track from the last time we rode together, so I cut him some slack ;)

It's a lot like AF Canyon. Not nearly as many miles of trail. . We rode most of the trail in that 18 miles.

I did ride the TTR is was supposed to be sold but the guy never showed up.
