I got all loaded up this morning.. Wanted to make sure everything was perfect. I checked my air pressure. Off we went. I guess my valve must have got stuck.. As soon as we got there I noticed a full front flat!! Lanes sauce. My brother got sick and was puking the whole way down. I ride his bike for a bit, then we called it quits.

We got Harrison's report card and he made the High Honor Roll (didn't get it from his mom or dad) so we decided to load up and run the big loop that includes North Coal Wash, Devils Race Track, Swayzies Cabin and Eagle Nest Canyon today. We included my friend Mark and his son Kaden and a neighbor kid of mine. Perfect day for a ride in the San Rafeal Swell. There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing. It was mid 30s when we started and would say it got up to mid 40s at one point. All in all we did 40 miles in just a few hours.

Did 36 miles solo today in Warner valley. No crashes or dumped bikes. I just went where I thought I should and it ended up being a loop. According to strava about half of it was in Arizona. Had no idea. Weather was awesome in the 60's. Got a new tire for winter riding down here. Trying out the Dunlop at81. When racing starts back up I'm going to run the kenda Parker dt in the rear. My bib I had in the rear since August still looks brand new. So now I have a spare brand new bib for when the season starts.

I thought you'd do the Skyler Howes clinic? No go?

I did the last possible ride of AF canyon yesterday.
Gal at the gate said the gates were closed at tibble but I could go over to Mutual Dell area:
I unloaded in the snow:

The trail to the south was not passable and I didn't want to tear it up trying.

So across the road to the connector loop.

Rode till the snow and steep turned me around and the storm hit big time

This steep rooted snow covered hill stopped me.

It was one of those gasp at mother nature's power kind of moments.

It was amazing! Awe inspiring weather

So whats the plan for this weekend? Warner Valley? who's going..I can head down on friday and come home on sunday.
There is a mini Sage Riders camp out this week. I am leaving Tuesday & the Stouts & Woodalls are coming Wednesday and we are camping out on the west end of Warner Valley between the pond and corrals. Neil and his family are staying at their place in Hurricane. We are doing Thanksgiving in the desert and will be camping until Sunday.

Come join us.

Ya. I did Skylers class. I have s lot to work on. He's a great teacher and an even better rider. Wish I could head down again this weekend. My wife is leaving town all next week. So I have to work hard all week to get a house finished cause I'll be the only one to watch my boy the week after.

There were some guys there in their 40's. He can show you how to fix the problems. It's up to us to implement them. That'll be that hard part cause it feels so awkward.

There were so many things I need to work on and so many that I had no clue about. He didn't stop telling me the whole day to get my elbows up and get out front on the bike. So I think that'll be a big deal for me for improving. It'll help me to control the bike more and won't allow me to be lazy and just along for the ride. I just think it feels so weird. I've been told before and he kept beating it in my head. It'll be hard to change but will help and feel great eventually.

Rode 5 Miles of Hell today. The Crux took a radiator as a souvenir and my 13 yr old Harrison broke his chain at about mile 6. We had to push and pull it the last couple of miles which really sucked until we got to the double track and then we pulled it the last 7 or so miles in the dark. He rode my 300 while I rode one of the skinny guys 300 that rode Harrison's CRF150RB.

Pretty proud of him for making it that far. Two of the three big obstacles I helped him up but the rest he did on his own. He wanted to ride 5 MOH. I tried talking him into all the colored trails while the group did 5 MOH. His logic was he will only get better if he runs trails like that.
