I take it back. I'll be there on Saturday, with a running, working bike. I'll be on my new (to me) trials bike. We'll see how it (and I) do on the singletrack. At least I can touch the ground now :D

it's north of little moab. I've been there once, but I don't think I could get there on my own. You'll just have to come along to find out :D

Where exactly is this? Haven't heard of such a place...

Soldiers Pass. It's a 12 mile loop that we've kind of pieced together. Sometimes the single track (probably 11 miles of it is single track) it a good challenge, sometimes it's not, depends on how the weather has been. If I can find any of my old tracks, I'll post them up. The fun thing about this loop is there are much larger rides you can tie this in to (up Israel Canyon, around the loop and back up over Israel, etc), or there is just tons of riding to do out in that area.

I'm in, as long as you guys don't mind riding with a noob. I'm stopping by RMATV tomorrow to get a couple pieces of gear. Can't wait!

We might get some snow tomorrow but maybe dry out for Saturday?

So we are meeting at the 4 corners at 1pm Saturday right?

And you said it's just a 12 mile loop, so i'm assuming an extra gas can won't be necessary

You're not a noob, I'm a noob. Don't worry, nobody will be going slower than me. Saturday looks like it should be warmer. Hopefully it's not muddy.

That's correct. I think I might even make it on a single tank of gas.

I don't know what it looks like in Utah county, but I woke up to about 3 inches of snow. It is supposed to be 60's tomorrow, but it will be wet. I'm more than game still, but want to make sure i'm not riding alone due to recent weather :D

I'll be going out regardless. The area is quite dry, so even with the weather, I don't anticipate it being too bad. Worse case is we don't ride the single track and just stick to the two track roads, which I'm sure will be just fine. (not as fun, but it's still a couple hours of riding :D)

GAR, as for being a newb...welcome to the club. I've only been riding for a little over a year so I'm fresh off the farm too :p

I'm not the best rider in the world either, I've had my bike for a few years, but not a ton of seat time

I just changed my oil, lubed up the chain and loaded her up! And I found out that I can still park my truck in the garage with the bike in it@!

Bummer Steve. For anyone else interested, I'm still planning on being at the Chevron at 1, look for me in my lifted white tundra with my KTM on a trailer. If you're not there by ~1:15 I'll be leaving you behind :p
