A little pre-trip preventive maintenance. It was time for a LOF service as well as tire rotation, chassis grease, air filter cleaning and while it was on the lift I repainted the tire rod, drag link and hydraulic ram then torqued and re-painted the fasteners.

Small project this morning.
My crate motor came with a new Holley 850 Double pumper, it has a manual choke and I had an electric choke here already so I installed in on this carb.
If winter decides to be over I can gut the Blazer and start swapping in new parts....
All it needs now is the new suspension, axles, wheels/tires, trans/transfer case, guages/interior/seats and harnesses, and then the engine installed...
Its almost done..lol

Yeah it was bugging me. I also shortened the transmission shifter.

Efff that... not long after I got my CDL I had to drive into LA to pick up a welder. It took a full 8+ hours to get in and back out. Hated it 100%.

Yep, 9 hour shift to get from Hartford, CT to NYC and back. Not terrible I guess but as I had never been to NYC before at all, it was like popping my cherry with a BBC 😂

I’m quite happy that I never drove east of the Mississippi in my driving career.
