    Pilot bearing

For the grease trick you can use an appropriate wooden dowel which can found on the cheap at most hardware-stores and hobby-shops. Works like a charm. That said; Auto zone rents a worthwhile puller I belive - worked fine for me anyhow.

    Lincoln Lock D60?

I'm trying to wheel on a budget here and open/lsd is kind of a bummer. How much does the "spooled" front end effect drivability? I'd still like to be able to lock the hubs in the snow and what not. I'm concerned about adding to my already considerable turn-radius. And also I've seen some strange...

    Utah Lift Law

So I was reading on the Utah Highway Patrol website that Maximum Legal lift in Utah is 4" Mechanical and 4" Tire -- But then it sites Title 41-6-148.32 UCA which is the same law the Safety Inspection Manual sites. Of course the Inspection Manual only Mentions this law and nothing about four...

    AF Canyon??

I was probably thinking about getting to the lot around noon or something.

    AF Canyon??

I was planning on going up Ward Canyon this weekend but I could be convinced to run Forest Lake again although I have to warn you - I move pretty slow compared to a lot of people =) . I assume it's pretty dry out there this week?

    Forest Lake, MEG 10-07-06

I did the big bronco thing for a few years (Two 78s and an 83) but I like the diesel and big axles. I Couldn't be happier unless the truck were on 37s with locked axles.

    Forest Lake, MEG 10-07-06

Did you guys get any more pictures of that drop? I dunno - just looked to me like there was a slot about right for the truck to fit into. PowerStrokeDiesel_ForTheWin! I make a plodding pace but the truck does seem to be fairly capable considering the 32" tires and effectively open diffs.

    Forest Lake, MEG 10-07-06

I didn't put a coat on until we were getting near the top of MEG (10,000Ft according to Google Earth.) Considering how much concern there was about my truck, the trip up Forest Lake was fairly uneventful. My understanding is that the trail has gotten wider and the wide rocky turn to the left...

I take it The Tibble Fork Lot is north of Alpine and Highland? It's going to be 92 east to - what? Alpine Hwy? If you could give me the street name of the last named paved road before you get to the trail I would appreciate it. Like I said I moved out here a couple months ago and it seems like...

    wheelin this saturday oct 7th

I might meet Meat at noon or go look around a bit by myself till then - I'd like to get some wheeling done a bit earlier than that. I Can probably catch up with you guys when you make it out there.

    wheelin this saturday oct 7th

Well... It does scare me a little - the big rock that is barely in the picture on the left would be a problem... And I don't know that I could climb it unaided but I think I could negotiate it without too much bent metal. Although it's in show-room trim, It's hardly in show-room condition...

Mine is stock but the F350 4x4 is considerably taller than the F250 4x4. I actually got in a shouting match with the safety inspector not too long ago over Mud-flaps, but the truck is stock with the stock tires size (Works out to a 32) and I'm not putting flaps on a showroom stock truck. But...

Another Local U-Tuber in the water?

I hate to get anyone in serious trouble... I have to admit I was mostly annoyed by how lame it was. Considering how much trouble it can make for the community it was hardly worth watching. Technically I suppose one truck probably didn't hurt that stream too bad; I really don't belive in making...

    wheelin this saturday oct 7th

I have to admit that I'm not that scared by those; for better or worse... I'll prolly count on coming out and I might just hang out at the back for a bit. If the hardest stuff is right up front I should be able to back down if it's too hairy I'm not green... Been wheeling for years with trucks...

Okay, the only trail I'm familiar with around here is Ward-Canyon. I went from the parking lot, left and all the way up -- although I did go left at the pathfinder, With a fair percentage of the pathfinder in the back -- with pretty much no trouble. I didn't use any of the easy routes... Anyone...

Another Local U-Tuber in the water?

I'm pretty new around here but I know people get pretty upset about you getting in the water (Stream/River/Lake) in the St. Louis area. Found this Jeep making its way up a stream in the Ward Canyon Area on YouTube and considering He has to run down some vegetation to do it; I assume this is not...

    wheelin this saturday oct 7th

How intense is the area? The truck will climb loose rock I have a really hard time walking down... But a tired L/S in the rear and open front mean problems while flexing - I think the outrageous wheel base helps with a lot of obstacles that give smaller trucks a hard time But can also mean death...

    Help out in Ward Canyon??

Yeah - It was a good time. I never expected to be hauling burned out SUV parts when I started up the bottom earlier that day but I'd do it again and I intend to be on one of this states excellent trails this weekend as well.

I might be interested in coming. I'm not familiar with that area but it looks pretty close and I need some exposure to the different local trails. I'm out of the South Salt Lake Area (Just moved here from St.Louis two months ago) with a Stock F-350. It get's around alright but flexing can cause...
