Too cold and snowy to go wheelin' this weekend, so we got some done on the project. Our goals are to build a very capable rig, but it still has to be street legal (or at least legal enough to get by). Jim is retired, lives in Moab, and virtually all of his wheeling is done here (100+ trail days...

Drive: Samurai, very modified, mostly street-legal Prefer: I'd like to re-build it, same basic design but cleaned up. More power would be nice, but not necessary. (If I had the money, I'd love to have an expedition-style 4-door Rubicon or something similar for camping trips and easier trails...

Those of you that have wheeled with my friend Jim in his gray "BADCAT" Samurai know that it is very capable, but he decided he wanted to take it up a notch. So we are gathering parts and starting on his new rig. It's going to be a slow build, but hopefully will be ready by next fall...

We had a blast chuckin' pumpkins! Our longest launch was 213 feet, and we ended up in 3rd place. We're already planning on building a bigger and better one for next year!

We schedule anywhere from a day to a month or more in advance. We occasionally do multi-day trips... but not in January ;)

Metal Masher has bypasses for Rock Chucker and Widowmaker. The rest of the trail is easier than either the Rim or Spike.
