L.E.O. Questions - How do we take back our neighborhood

Sorry this is so long. A little background. We live in a small older (50 years old) neighborhood in South Jordan. For the past 5 years it has been very quiet for the most part. Over the past year my next-door-neighbor (Single mom, early 40's) has decided that she needs to be a halfway house for...

    biodeisel..anyone here make it?

I think we need to start an RME biodiesel CO-OP. I would definitely be in on helping with the purchase of a processor and helping with the production to save some $$ on diesel and give the oil companies the bird!

    GPS...what do you think?

I have used a Garmin GPS V for about 4 years now and it has been great. I just bought a GPSmap 60CSx and I love it too. I only paid $299 for the 60CSx and it looks like it will do everything that I will ever need it to.

    Tire balancing compounds

Yep, I bought the 300 series. I think it was about $212 shipped for the 4.

    Tire balancing compounds

I finally ponied up the dough for some centramatics for my Dodge CTD. I'm only running 35" Toyo MT's on it, but after having them balanced twice (different tire shop each time), and still having some vibration I decided what-the-hell. They are awesome!!! The beauty of them is that they work at...

    What's wrong?

If it has 4.10 gears in it and the ring & pinion is bad I have 4 complete IFS 3rd members sitting on a shelf in my garage. You can have one for free if you need it.

Rant about selling parts- tell me what ya think

Had a similar thing happen with someone selling a welder on this board. Agreed on a price, was set to leave in 15 minutes to go and pick it up after getting off work early, making a trip to the bank to get the cash, etc. The guy calls me and says that someone else called and offered him a better...

    Yota Gears

Yep, go 5.29's, cause sooner or later 35's won't be big enough and then you will really wish that you had the 5.29's.

Tires are hurting PSD towing performance

I switched to 35x12.50-17 Toyo MT's last summer on my '04 CTD and I love how they perform in the snow/ice. Way better than the BFG A/T's that were on it before. But back to the point of this thread: My truck weighs right around 9,000 lbs. (Quad cab longbed) according to the scales I have been...

    Concealed carry permit classes?

I agree, a shooting test and some intensive scenario training should be required. My wife and I are going to take some classes even though it's not required. One thing that was very evident during the class was that you'd better be 100% sure you are willing to accept all of the consequences...

    Concealed carry permit classes?

My wife and I took the concealed carry class last night in Midvale. It was put on by Strategic Tactical Group. They run ads on ksl.com in the "Services" section under Firearms and Hunting Services. Cost was $25 for the class, paperwork, and fingerprints. It was a good class - very informative...

    What tires are you running?

They were about 70% tread if I remember correctly. There are a few good ruts in the road to my property - the AT's were useless to keep me out of the ruts, and once I had slid in I was done. The AT's are probably slightly better on ice, but I still have no complaints about my MT's.

    What tires are you running?

I'm running 35x12.50-17 Toyo MT's on my '04 Dodge Cummins. I love them! They are way better than the BFG A/T's that were on it, especially in the mud and snow. I got stuck twice with the BFG's, once in snow and once in the thick clay mud going up to our cabin property. Not an issue anymore...

    Best stock Dana 60 Axle?

You might consider looking for a 14-bolt out of a cab-chassis (dually). They are narrower from the factory. A friend of mine is running one on the rear of his scrambler and it is only a few inches wider than the jeep axle.

    Axle width

To give you an idea, I have a dually Dana 60 that I am putting under my 4Runner. The wms-wms on it is 75". With my H1 beadlocks (not re-centered) and 42" TSL's the overall width from outside of tire to outside of tire is 89". So yours with the 68" wms-wms and your wheels not re-centered...
