    Very nice upgrade.

Article "Swapping spark plugs for nanopulses"

It sounds interesting, but promises a lot. Time will tell if this is the real deal or another splitfire.

Jobs! Looking for a job? Is your company hiring? Post up here!

For those interested, UPS has quite a few positions open right now. There's a few mechanic positions in Colorado. Starting pay is not great, but top pay after two to four years, union position, and outstanding benefits. It's the only way I could afford to deal with my medical stuff earlier...

    Cell towers

Duluth trading is always going on about their pants, but I have no firsthand experience with them. I do have Dickies ripstop pants, and they seem to be a good lightweight and breathable.

    Cell towers

There's a few of the Timberland Pro boots that have steel shanks and ladder lock patterns on the middle sole. They are also very comfortable for all day use.

Insurance Home/Auto/Etc. Who do you like?

As long as you don't use USAA. Bunch of backstabbing liars. I'm having to sue the guy who hit me who has USAA, as they are offering less than 1/3 of the demonstrated value of my car.

    Van conversation

I'm usually heading home between 2:30 and 4:30 am, I'm surprised I haven't had any real interactions with police here. Even driving a red Italian sports car, nothing. Once my truck is up and running, though, all bets are off.

    Off road trailer build

Mostly warranty stuff, and tool box drawer handles and slides. I've been trying to get those for a couple years.

    Off road trailer build

Ah, I see. I was hoping to find a connection to a Cornwell dealer who would actually respond to me. The guy up here seems to be invisible.

    Off road trailer build

Looks like a neat rebuild project. How'd you come across so many Cornwell lids?

    Advice: Expedition running rough

On my Explorer, several of the coil and injector connectors broke when I changed the intake. I also had this happen on a tune up on a 6.2. Replacement connectors are available fairly cheap, I went cheaper and used zip ties to hold it all together.

    Jeep Problems

Usually belt squeals come from a flat pulley that is misaligned. The water pump may be worn (that'd contribute to the coolant puking as well), if that one has a separate fan drive pulley that may be bad as well. Any play out of the fan and water pump pulleys is bad.

    Aluminum wheel repair

I'd say that's a hard no, at least not for any road use. It looks like it's cast, and as an unknown alloy it really can't be welded with any sort of assurance as to durability.

My Next Project: 1965 Sunbeam Alpine

I was reading that an upholstery shop in Idaho Falls blew up the other day- Might just be something that happens now and then.

    Tell me about your shop

I like radiant heat. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that you need to keep it on for the winter, unless you're going to be out of the shop for a week or so. If you try to run it like a standard heating system where you turn it up or down at different times, it will cost a fortune to run...

    Wow... June 6, 1944

It's funny that the Russians are getting all pissy about celebrating D-Day. If the Soviets had actually fed and armed their armies, they could have easily had all of continental Europe as soon as Hitler screwed them over.

    Bending aluminum plate

Regular sheet, plate starts at 1/4" / 7mm. I don't think you will get a decent bend using that method for that width. Perforating or scoring it will make it crack. Depending on the alloy, heating it can make it crack as well. You might be able to get a sheet metal company to bend it to your...
