I can design a flight simulator for whoever has tons of money. On the side I am the nieghborhood handyman and fix snowblowers, mowers, tillers, jeeps, electronics etc etc.

I still have it and I'll call when I get home from work.

I'm not much of an expert on the older ones but I have been building a 73 Commando for the last couple of years. Mine came with a 304 V8, TH400, and a dana 20 tcase all of which have been replaced. The older late 60s ones I have seen had v6 engines. There are some die hard commando fans on here...

I was going to come but I couldn't convince my wife to sit for that much time. I ended up fixing friends and relative's jeeps.

My son just found an 87 XJ with stock 3.73 gears in it, in fact it had a dana 44 rear which is now in my garage.....

I go there when I need steel and they treat me really well. I wander through the remnants regularly and have picked up most of the steel for the commando project there. They even ask me how the jeep project is going whenever I show up.

I have some 6 lug hubs, rotors, spindles and calipers that will fit on the axle if you need those. Knuckles too but only flat top on the driver side.

I would check caster angle also. If it has been lifted (especially with with longer shackles) the caster angle may be too small and it will wander.

Thanks for the responses, I would love a band saw but space is a big issue in my crowded garage. I'll look around and see what I can find. The Rigid unit has good reviews and my dad has one that works well.

My Mikita metal chop saw died this morning so I am going to have to buy a replacement. I have looked at the several including DeWalt and Milwaukee saws. I also have been looking at the cold cut saws and they look good but are more money. Has anyone used the cold cut saws that wants to comment on...

We drive several different Jeeps, my son's is a red Comanche that has about 8.5 inches of lift, my Jeep is a blue 84 Scrambler, the wife's is an 02 red Grand Cherokee Overland. I am also building an old 73 Commando that I hope to get on the road one of these days.

We will have to keep an eye out for your Jeep since the pictures were taken close to where we live.
